10-15kg overweight, but back at the gym. See how I go after heart surgery this year.
All the best with that.

Does payoff really matter? Even just the challenge and dare I say enjoyment from doing it makes up for a lot. I have seen a lot of middle aged guys spend money on a lot less. I don't agree with NTA on pretty much anything to do with climate change etc, but I dont remember him ever selling this on money. He just wanted to give it a crack and enjoy the whole thing. Mission accomplished IMO.
My neighbour just upgraded his boat, his old was pretty good, his upgrade cost 40k more, nobody annoys him with a cost benefit analysis. -

I kind of get what your saying but don't "get it" One thing is luxury entertainment and the other is energy saving.

Because for some people they can be the same thing. Not me in this instance. But one persons entertainment is anothers nightmare. All I am saying is that NTA got as much enjoyment from his hobby as others get from boats, cars etc. I think any ROE is actually just a bonus.
Isn't it similar in horse racing? Passion and enjoyment for the journey first, ROE definitely possible but can't be the sole reason? -

You're right, it's something I'd like to tinker with more than anything, but I don't have the discretionary budget to buy whatever I like.
Otherwise I'd have a Tesla already.

A classic example is we had two yearling up at the sales which sold and I was happy as sales were ending and we hadn't purchased anything, then with a couple of hours to go, true-love purchased a horse. I wasn't happy until it turned up on Saturday and it came to the fence and dropped its head into me. I'd pay twice the price just for that and I have no idea if she will be any good yet.

I'm alive, fluffybunnies.
Pay up, those who bet against.
There was a book?
Welcome back fella, missed your salty tears at the Tahs going 0-3
Ha! I'm expecting zero given we've got another fucking kiwi in charge.
Plus, I'm way too amused by the ongoing club Rugby shit going on in the rights deal negotiations.

So, I've done my usually mushroom impression and missed what you were actually getting operated on for. I understand it was heart related.
Did you say, or was it just exploratory to confirm you do actually have a heart?
(If you discussed it in the Fitness forum, fair enough, I would have missed that coz I blocked that forum.)
Interested as have my own heart issues.
Regardless, am pleased you are well.

Patent formalen ovale closure @booboo
Potentially linked to my migraines, and general circulation. Doc said it was a fairly substantial one, so glad they got it now instead of when I'm having some for no discernible reason.
Shit, I get migraines ... how worried should I be Dr NTA?
