@voodoo There are heaps of places offering free online classes for workouts/yoga/stretching/breathing etc. Youtube also has stacks you can do in a confined space (standing abs etc)
@voodoo Facebook Evolve Matamata for a great daily workout (weekdays)

Looks like Ashley has been allowed a well deserved day (or press conference) off.
He’s been brilliant hasn’t he

Anyone who can survive a job interview where Kim Hill was part of a deliberate media grilling test must be well and truly up to it

Is it a good thing the numbers each day for the last 3 days have been the same?
Has broken the previous pattern of increasing each day by around 50%Hopefully yeah. You have to consider though hardly any new arrivals overseas. So the new cases are likely to be community transmission or close contacts of those who have gone overseas. In a week we will have a good idea what the spread in NZ is like. It could shoot back up then.

@hydro11 There are still flights coming in from overseas every day. Not as many people coming in as before, but still in the hundreds.
True but on an average day with no travel restrictions Auckland International Airport averages something like 15000 arrivals per day.

So my mum is in NZ, early 60's has had some health issues, she has a dry cough, headache and just feels awful. She tried to get a coronavirus test done today and was told they are not doing them on weekends? Anyone heard of this? She is in Whangarei so unsure if regional areas dont have the same testing setup.

That's correct they are Monday to Friday, obviously if she starts to suffer shortness of breath it becomes an emergency, call 111

Based on the news footage shown today of people swimming/paddleboarding at the beach, playing touch or basketball in parks it is time to make an example of some people with fines. Obviously official guidelines and rules are continuing to be ignored so bring out the big stick.

@Bovidae I agree, when I did my one to from the house to walk the dog (I'm lucky enough to have my 25 year old running machine still working) I saw half a dozen cars with couples in them, at 2 pm. No way they should be driving about. Maybe there's a very small chance of one couple working together in an essential business with a shift start of 2, or was a partner driving a non driving partner too a weekend medical appt. piston wristed gibbons

They're allowed to drive locally to a park or track to exercise right? Maybe on way to the supermarket or pharmacy where one would wait in the car while the other shopped?
I appreciate we have rules in place, whether I agree with all of them or not, but I'm still prepared to give most people the benefit of the doubt.
