Breaking story about a locomotive engineer near the Port of Los Angeles who deliberately derailed a train near the naval hospital ship USS Mercy, because of “coronavirus concerns.”
Developing, clearly...

@Salacious-Crumb this?

So I found this site a statistical gem for al your number and graphs nerds.
I found it after reading the latest doubling time theory's and doing a search for more info. It has that (more bad news for the US at current rates they will be looking at just under 3/4 mill cases and 20K dead by Easter Sunday) but also a whole lot more.
None of it that good I'm afraid.
Elsewhere it seems there is no link between warmer countries and lower infection rates although behavioural changes brought on by warmer weather may help.
They're also developing a fingerprick blood test which may tell whether you have had it and are clear - good for medical staff - but are concerned about rate of false positives. But it won't be any use for screening people because you'll have to have had it for a week before the test works.

Total Cases will be low if you only test 26,000 people. 1 death is good though.

Thank goodness. I believe, although ignorantly, that this lockdown is part of the reason for that. The next two weeks will be the real story though

More likely the border restrictions with the 14 day lag. After two weeks we'll start seeing the lockdown impact, so what a couple more days?

Yup. At 14 days in we should have a clearer indication. So we appear to be tracking well at the moment

We're in partial lockdown - that is whlist most shops are closed, there are still loads of people seemingly doing what they normally do, ie driving, going to work etc.
Myself and the missus are both working from home, deep joy. Seriously though, not too bad, but we both wonder how long our workplaces can continue - supplies will eventually run out. -
There's been a lot of talk in the UK about the police over-stepping the mark when enforcing the lockdown, but this has to take the biscuit.
A Facebook friend has posted she was stopped by Plod while walking in a Plymouth park, told to go home as she "wasn't wearing the right shoes for exercise or walking". She's 5' 0" and was wearing her normal high-ish heels.
Not being one to back down and with zero fear of officialdom, she took the PC's no. and has written to the Chief Constable asking where in UK law and/or guidelines does it specify what height of heels are legal.....
The reply could prove illuminating.
