So after watching Mad Max for the first time in over 20 years it is definitely a movie of its time and very dated now. I know it has achieved cult status but I seem to remember I liked the sequel more. Sky is showing that and Beyond Thunderdome over the next 2 weeks so I look forward to those.

Yeah, Mad Max 2 is the best one, IMO.

It doesn't suffer anywhere nearly as bad from the amateur editing and stunt cinematography.

To the discussion at hand Mad Max 2 is easily the best, no budget in 1 and you can tell, slight budget in 2, and then too much budget in 3. As I've noted before, despite knowing a bunch of people who worked on the recent one I just don't really like it.

I just watched a movie called Fast Colour which is kind of set in a time between Corona and Mad Max, there's still some semblance of society, but everythings run down and you have to buy water in various plastic containers for inflated prices. Anyway, it's about a woman (the nice to look at Gugu MBatha Raw) with mysterious powers on the run from govt types. It's almost like an indie-scifi. Pretty good.

I also watched Charlies Angels because I saw the poster and the two girls that aren't from Twilight on it and they looked attractive. So I watched it and it was an ok switch of your brain watch. Elizabeth Banks and Picard are also in it.

    Elizabeth Banks

That's worth a star before the opening credits roll.

Tried to watch U.S. Marshals (1998) last night. Starts off well, but gets progressively dumber and duller. Wasn't helped by a colleague emailing me stupid and lazy questions late at night. Couldn't finish it.

Lethal Weapon has some great cheesy blues mood guitar, like The Simpsons would parody when they visited the wrong part of town.

God damn the last half hour of Lethal Weapon goes so hard. Gibson just kills constantly. Awesome.

Another of the 80s movies last night - Red Dawn. I only watched out of nostalgia as it was OK back then. I don't know what teenage me was thinking.

Aaaah my fave! Everyone loves Groundhog day at Gobbler's Knob! On my list to rewatch.

Just realised reading above, I've never watched a James Bond film either, I know I wanted to watch the one with Daniel Craig in teeny shorts... Does one have to watch James bond in any particular order? πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
