Per Grenell's declassification of names that requested unmasking of Trump officials.
Last person to request Flynn unmasking documents was JOE BIDEN on January 12, 2017. Date of first WaPo article by David Ignatius w/ illegal leak of Flynn conversation: January 12, 2017.
This is horrible optics for Biden.
Furthermore, a bunch of the requests to unmask Flynn were BEFORE the Kislyak call which was supposedly the predicate for his questioning by the FBI officials.

If this thread is anything to go by, Trump's ploy of diverting the general narrative and dividing the focus is working. It has become so normal to hear him state untruths and totally incorrect facts that there is now hardly a reaction. Perhaps people are tired of being shouted down or called names should they question what is unquestionably wrong? Even Trump says that reporters are 'nasty' for pointing out that the emperor may have no clothes on.
Trumps a truth teller. But in this world we currently live in truth and lies are all mixed up.
And don't believe the polls. People should know by know
I don’t think I said anything about the polls being believable. Just stated what they are saying as an interesting point.
Yes, Trump tells the truth. Occasionally. He also lies a lot.
The second sentence is a massive load of twaddle. Are you saying that lying is ok because people lie? If so then the point about delusion is proved.No. Lies are truth today. And truth are lies. Trump tells the truth but it challenges the lies people have been told and believed.
The democrats are in fact a party of liars. They are rotten and corrupt. For example they said they all have the evidence re Russia collusion (and spent years focused on this lie) and it was all a lie. And the leadership knew it was a lie. But you are still lost in pointing the finger at Trump rather than focusing on the serious rot in the Democratic party.
And Trump must win otherwise the West is finished. The whole structure now has been corrupted (but slowly over time so most hardly notice it). He needs to drain the swamp and then fix the rot. Then we can get back to normality and decency. Where rights are returned to people. And men in particular find their inner strength again. Rather than the boys today where lots are scared of the flu. And are willing to throw their right away without almost a peep
ThInk about it. Law abiding people not being allowed on the beach FFS. And healthy people being locked in their homes and (willingly) treated like naughty children. Or the economy being closed down and lives ruined for a (minor) flu. But the repair work needs to start in the US
Why am I lost in not pointing a finger elsewhere?
I am not commenting on other parties or candidates. I am commenting on Trump. Two wrongs do not make a right.
Also I am commenting from a position of having no real skin in the game. What different parties offer in the US has only a flow in effect on me. An effect that is usually tempered by the time it reaches.
You seem to be sucked into to very divisive and polar position that politicians want you to. Ignore the failings of me because you hate the other guy. That way you stop questioning my failures.
You have proved this by readily accepting Trumps behavior as OK. Your only counter is “but look at them” -

And it's taken 3-4 years for his political & media opponents to realise this.
That says more about their lack of political acumen than it does about Trump

If Trump is an idiot, what does that make the people he beat ?????
Perhaps not as smart as they think they are......
Or Trump is smarter than he appears......in a streetwise cunning kind of way.Wonder if there is real meat on the bone to this "Obamagate" or is just a mindless distraction (as Trump's opposition claim) We shall see....

Perhaps not as smart as they think they are......Well, they did select Hilary Clinton - the candidate who thought it a good idea to insult voters by calling them "deplorables"
Or Trump is smarter than he appears......in a streetwise cunning kind of way.
He's lots of unpleasant things, does loads of dumb stuff but he no idiot.

I think a lot of Trump's success comes not from him being some kind of genius, but that he's very much a 'doer' in that he doesn't overthink anything, he just dives head first into whatever project captures his attention.
That can lead to wildly varying results - sometimes spectacularly successful and other times an absolute disaster, which is probably reflected in his career leading into being President.
I'm not sure those are great attributes for the President to have TBH, and by God he needs to learn to shut up during those pressers as he comes across as a fucking moron when he's talking on subjects that he knows little about.

It's all OK. We are safe under the real president. (That android thing called Jared)

I see zero evidence that he's not an idiot. Plenty of people have voted for him, and the democrats have been shit - but those things don't mean he's not an idiot. Whereas pretty much whenever he opens his mouth he supports the assertion that he is an idiot.

I'd add that selecting Hillary wasn't actually a bad decision. She totally should have won that election, it was absolutely hers to lose.
But a combination of poor decisions and complacency cost her by a very small margin. I'm not sure who ran her campaign, but it really was appalling. Though don't get me started on her blame-everyone-else-in-the-world-but-me line since then!
Since then the Dems have been a total clusterfuck, so insanely unable to exploit Trumps weaknesses, and so pathetically poor at developing a worthy candidate to challenge.
Surely it's inevitable now that we will see 4 more years of Trump. Biden is going to get eaten alive in the debates.

Have to disagree. At the very least, he's less of an idiot than his opponents.
He figured out very early on that the media & Democrats would go into meltdown if he won and he exploited that ruthlessly which has strengthened his anti-Washington-Elite credentials among voters.
Example: He attacks and winds up Pelosi and she falls into his trap by tearing up the State of the Union address on live TV, lowering herself to his level.
-
It's difficult to pretend he's much of an intellect given his demonstrated history as a braggart, blowhard and buffoon. What he does seem to have is a considerable cohort of conspiracists and idiots willing to believe he's playing 4D chess. That and unlike a sizeable proportion of the political elite in the USA, he understands and panders to his electorate.
If the Democrats had any sense, Biden would've been arseholed out of the contest a long time ago.

She was probbly the best minnow in a very shallow pool, but she came across as entitled, clumsy and pretty much out of touch with Joe Public. From what I read, people were tiring from Obama's gesture politics and wanted someone, anyone who'd actually do stuff.
Yeah, the Democrats look a real mess. In fact US Politics - and the media - looks a real mess. Perhaps the Virus Crisis will cause the political establishment to take a good, long look at itself.

Yep, that's kinda my point. She was a disaster, but still won more votes and came close to winning. Just a few idiot moves away from taking the prize.
Pelosi takes the cake for being out of touch though with her ice cream clip. Holy smokes.

The sort of thing only an idiot wouldn't do.....
The guy drives me nuts and I cringe when he speaks. But when you compare him to Obama on dealing with Syria and Nth Korea and you can see why people voted for him.

Dunno mate. As I remember it, it was hers to lose. Trump was a joke candidate and noisy America was celebrating a first woman president right up to election night. The whole world was flabbergasted that this reality show blowhard actually won. Hillary screwed up which proved to be a decisive portent to the democrats political acumen the next 4 years.
He can be an idiot but he won the vote, and that's all the game is.
Not being able to poll better than the idiot is the real story of Trumps presidency
