Watched Oceans 13 last night. Totally predictable, but I always like the retro 70s look of the films, top cast and they are always decked out well. An enjoyable film that doesn't make you work hard. 4 heart attacks out of 5 cougar attracting pheromone patches
i like those movies. They all look like they have a lot of fun making them
Brad Pitt looks like he enjoys eating. Pretty much so stuffing his face in every scene!
He's very much like me in that, but somehow my body is not acheiving the same level of buff as him. It's confusing.

It's one of his talents. Looks very good eating!

Punching and Stealing
Quirky. Funny.

Holy shit Blade II is ridiculously good, far fetched fun. Wesley Snipes just nails it. Such a cool dude and fuck he could move. If only he had a better accountant.
It's on Netflix, give it a hoon and remember how cool it is. Another to add to the, admittedly not very big list, of sequels that are better than the originals.

After talk of Tropic Thunder in the TV Series thread I thought it was time for another watch.
Robert Downey Jr is still as funny as ever as "the dude playin' the dude, disguised as another dude", and this is Tom Cruise's best performance.
5 Kangaroo Jacks out of 5 full retards

Simple Jack you mean? Great star turns by Jack Black and Danny McBride

John wick
It’s ok, not amazing. Keanu still can’t act.

I should have known better.
I gave my afternoon to The Last Days Of American Crime on Netflix.
It’s a steaming pile of horse shit. Nothing worth watching. Even the tits aren’t worth it.
Avoid, avoid, avoid.
A damning indictment.

Poorly written, ineptly directed, and possibly the longest movie ever made in terms of how it feels, the only thing notable about “The Last Days of American Crime” is that it made it this far in the filmmaking process. Someone should investigate how that’s possible.

on the advice of a few, i watched Draft Day
Pretty bloody good actually. Considering the subject matter, they managed to make a decent story. Costner makes good sports movies.
At the end i really wanted to know how the picks turned out. But then i remembered we are talking about the Browns, so all of those prospects they selected actually turned out to be rubbish, or got hurt, while the one they don't take turned out to be amazing.

365 Days on Netflix.
Hard to describe because it's so batshit crazy. Suspect it may get a bit of a cult following. Basically lead man kidnaps lead woman and decides he'll give her 365 days to fall in love with him.
5/5 for the frequent sex and nudity, the billionaire toys (5 min sex montage on a super yacht), the shopping, and locations.
1/5 for the plot because nothing made sense, very little gets explained, and you kind of jump from scene to scene thinking wait, what? Why? (There is mafia and gangsters and family v family battles, jealous ex girlfriends etc etc.) The final scene is clearly a setup for upcoming movies because it stops rather than ends, and in a bizarre way.

Fuck, I'm just about to watch this. Maybe I won't unless it's so bad it's good ? ( like Showgirls or something of that ilk ? )
In much better news the ex wife has given me the go ahead to watch the Alien/Prometheus series with my boys. To steal a quote from another franchise I quite like, "This will be a day long remembered"
Any idea what order to do them in ?
I'm thinking chronologically ie Prometheus/Alien Covenant/Alien/Aliens/Alien 3/Alien Resurrection......then part of me thinks do I go with the order they were made and start with a couple of Bangers ? unlike others on here I like Prometheus/Covenant so I'd love to start with them but the plotline might be a bit confusing for them ( as it is their Dad ) Do I go for Alien/Aliens first up and look at the others as flashbacks ?
Open for suggestions......

@MN5 Alien/Aliens. THen it doesn't matter, but you'll lose the raw impact of Alien by watching anything else first
I would agree with this. Not because I've seen all the latter ones and know what I'm talking about, more that it is likely the SFX on the first will look a little lacklustre if it follows the later ones?

Good point. I think everyone knows which scene you mean.

Hmmmm, not so sure, they still hold up pretty bloody well from memory. Alien 3 had some pretty shit SFX though ( and no coincidentally is easily the worst of the franchise for me )
