Persuasion tactic.
Keep Biden's mental health/energy in the forefront.
Does Biden go for it or refuse?
Trump will double-down on it if there is no response.
Biden might say something like I'll do a drug test if we see your tax returns.Does he really want that given the aderall and ephedrine he's on himself?

Back to 44% approval. Which is the upper level of his high floor. Arguable the blm movement and Democrats endorsement of it is backfiring on the Dems. WIll be very interesting to see if it increases up to his previous high (47%) in the early weeks of the covid epidemic.

I think everyone predicted this:
“I don’t think there should be any debates,” Pelosi told reporters. “I do not think that the president of the United States has comported himself in a way that anybody should that has any association with truth, evidence, data and facts.” “I wouldn’t legitimize a conversation with him nor a debate in terms of the presidency of the United States,” she added.
Maybe it's just a trial balloon. This will not play well with anyone apart from partisan Democrats.

It's just like everyone here saying 'don't debate with @Winger , you'll only frustrate yourself'

I don't think the American people (aside from hard core Trump haters) will accept Biden dodging the debates. I think the DNC know Biden is failing mentally. They are trying to get him out of it and use the media to prop him up, drag him over the finish line. All it really does is confirm there may be something wrong with Joe.
This was a interview with Andersen Cooper today, which Joe pobrbaly only did because of his lack of his pushback on the lack of strong opposition to the violence in the cities.
Interview with a friendly question with the questions teed up for him, judge for yourself if he is up to the task.

@Frank Seems to be struggling a bit there. Interesting him doubling down on the 'white supremacists - very fine people' lie. Guess at this point saying a lie enough does make it true if people support you.
Do the Dems have more of a free pass to bend the truth given Trump's four years of quite consistent lying? Maybe.

It was one of his better performances that I have seen (but many have been poor. And it was an easy interview)
But if Trump lied like this the media would have a fit. And rightly so. (and interviewers should call him out. In a debate Trump certainly well)

There doesn't seem to be a coherent strategy.
According to different speakers Biden is a feeble, senile old man who can't leave the house, AND a dynamic Antifa-leader who’ll be burning cop cars by night & transforming America into Cuba within 3 months during the day

The Democrats are in a bind right now. I just don't know how they can recover. Even with a better candidate. Or even if Joe recovers and exceeds expectations

He is known as a moderate Dem. He won the nomination on this basis. Focussing on the views of the more marginal elements of the party and trying to project them onto the mainstream party might work for Trump's hardcore voters, it remains to be seen if the middle swing bloc will swallow it or not

I didn't watch. Who made the second part of this claim?
I thought the narrative they've pushed so far is that he's not a capable leader, therefore the fringes will have too much influence
