@broughie A long as Barrett doesn't have any issues with his plantar fascia when he does take the field. Then you are fucked if he is forced off.

@Bovidae Well if they select him and he is having that problem then they are really idiots.

Best ten at 15, best fullback at 14, centres around the wrong way, second best 7 playing at eight where he's behind multiple players in that position, our depth being tested at lock, a player that may not be up to it at six and they drop Reiko who looks like he was in good form. At the very least play him on the wing.

    So many problems.

I think it’s still very much up for debate whether Jordie is the best fullback at test level.

I’d say our best fullback and 10 is at fullback.

I don’t think many would have him in our 2 best wingers either

    I think I would go beaudy 10 , Caleb 11, Jordan 14, Jordie 15, Richie 23

    I'll mention a positive

Great to see Hodgman get a bench spot. He's been on a steady improvement for a few years now. A well earned debut

Plenty of other spots to disagree with.. in particular Sotutu should've got a start

That may still happen if Ardie's baby pops out.
Does Akira come on the bench then? Papalii?

You'd assume Papali'i otherwise there is no real 7 cover?

I say this knowing full well we will probably get blown off the park but.... that Wallabies pack looks better than the ABs. Particularly the tight 5.

Hanigan is a big ol' head scratcher though, particularly as Samu went pretty well last match. Guess we'll have to wait and see if Rennie is a genius or a madman.

Time for Paddy T to have a big game at home as the senior lock. I didn't think he imposed himself at all in game 1.

@Duluth Whoever comes in we need to see more dominance in the loosies and forwards as a whole. The lightweight Savea is not the man.

Neither is Frizell imo, but hope he proves me wrong.

@akan004 agree. We need to come into this match with the belief we can have 50 percent of possession at least.

The LAST home test of the year for all the players so they shouldn't be lacking any motivation.

    Alright so for the Wallabies:

Fainga'a dropped altogether for lineout which is fair enough I suppose.
Samu dropped because breakdown work wasn't accurate, so fair enough I suppose. Replacing him with Hanigan helps the lineout options so... jeez I dunno. We'd better seriously dominate the AB lineout with him there, because TBH hasn't shown enough physicality for this level of rugby.

The modifications to the bench are mostly alright - Noah Lolesio wasn't ever going to get on in Wellington and will be saved for someone like Argentina. Petaia can come off the bench later and see if his prodigious talent can survive the first run/tackle.

Wright off the bench should be a revelation. The kid can play and will help enormously against Sam Cane in the last 20.

I'm sort of in shock at the unchanged backline tho. Been a while since the Wallabies did that, but it is deserved.

Is this the first time we've seen a Pasifika locking partnership starting for the All Blacks? Nice milestone if it is, hope they go well.

@NTA Don't get why he wouldn't just start with Wright. Hanigan is a joke selection, rivaling the many that Foster has made.

Why are we persisting with Goodhue at 12 and Jordie at 14? Fucking idiots.

Especially when ALB at 12 and Goodhue at 13 works and they're both on the bloody field.

Hopefully they switch positions as required. Goodhue at 12 might be to keep the Crusaders combo.

Very true, especially re:8 Is Ikira injured or just not in the starting 23 frame? Or is he back with Auckland?

Seems daft having so many players out of position like he's trying to make it "his team" to remembered. It will be remembered if we lose a long standing dominance at Kaikoura Fish and Chip stadium this weekend. So many omens for this to go wrong!

Defence and attack? Field position? What is the plan there?
