@Virgil I was going to post that one but got distracted. Scary that he scored a bunch of tries in 15s that looked like 7s tries

Cullen at the Hong Kong 7s, quality is shit but have never forgotten this try.

Wow. Tony Johnson commentating way back in 96? I'd never heard of him until I returned from OE in early 2000s.

Nick Farr Jones commentating too. Always enjoyed his insights.

Might search out a video when I have time but that try Lomu scored against the Saders when he fended off Vunibaka twice has probably grown in my memory over time.

@Kirwan so many things fell into place, but for me, the key to that try is Aaron Smith.

What are farken legend. Turns back to pick up bad pass, the acceleration, the momentum even when falling, Jonah and Cully are the two best try scorers I've ever seen

Hands up if the words "Gordon Hamilton 1991" brings back instant visuals?

    He was everywhere.

The thing that sticks out to me was our ruck work. Ireland really poured in on every tackle and we were able to secure ball.

Read’s no look pass back on the inside to Bender was just audacious in the circumstances

Remember watching that game with the family and we were all gutted after that final Wallaby try. Good test match that.

Well my old brain played tricks on me. Of course Jonah's try was for Wellington against Canterbury not the Saders

Apologies for the stupid music but this is the clip as on youtube

96 Boks tour one that is burned in the old memory is from the first test - Wilson’s chip and chase down the right side off a scrum from our own half.

It was the second Test in Pretoria.

Another great from Blanco. Not burned in my memory, but stumbled across it trying to find their other great 5 Nations try from the era, at Parc des Princes.

    Cheers.

Very fond memories watching that series with my extended family.

Many who were around at this time will have suppressed the memory of these, so drag them up from the depths at your peril. But, they'll be burned in there somewhere.... 🙂

Gerrie Germishuys - too fast for Bee Gee and Kit Fawcett losing the pass over his shoulder.

The immediate vision that popped into my head upon reading the thread title was Stu Wilson vs France in thright hand corner where he seemingly (to a child's eye) flew to the tryline. Stuck with me vividly always.

It's 56 seconds into this. I bet it never gets done again 🙂

By the way that baa baas try, the Edwards one from yonks ago, is like lying about an airswing in golf
