am i the only one who has absolutely no problem with it, think it's a really nice message, and works on a couple of levels?
I've been absolutely whooshed. I can't see an issue at all.
I suspect it's the "some comfort in the hands of God" part that's got people triggered. Quite clever I thought TBH.
Yeah, but I didn't see any offence in it? And I agree quite clever.
A lot of people seem to have a hair "trigger".

Nice Kiwi footnote. The time our GOAT bested the great man

Given Maradona's lifestyle it's surprising he lasted this long.
A couple of anecdotes about him.
(1) It's amazing how many Italian restaurants with owners/chefs from Napoli have a photo of Maradona on the wall. He was loved in that city.
(2) My father was lucky enough to go to an Argentina-Brazil football match in Buenos Aires when he was working in Argentina. Maradona was in attendance. He told me that when Maradona was shown on the big screen the crowd all rose to their feet in respect. -

It's amazing how a cheating fluffybunny who turned into a fat alcoholic druggy became a national icon.... There's hope for us all!
Are we talking about Shane Warne again?

So funny that the Brits voted his first goal in 86 the worst example of cheating in football ever, and the one he followed it with the best ever full stop
At least they can appreciate quality in the midst of being hosed
