Once upon a time in Hollywood
Yeah watchable, but pretty meh really, not something I'd highly recommend.
2.5 stunt men out of 5 dead wives.
Loved it
Solid 4 for meYeah, much better than I thought it would be. The scenes in Dalton's house are great.

@MajorRage the only bit i have never liked is the poker game
There is a worse bit.
I still wince if I hear about that movie. The chair and rope thing. Just fucking wrong. What sicko came up with that?Up there with the Marathon man dentist scene.
Ian Fleming, though in the book he used a carpet beater. Slightly weirder if you ask me.

Okay, finally got around to Rambo: Last Blood.
Fuck. Soooo bad.
It was obviously some B-grade movie script, shoe-horned into somehow having John Rambo as the lead. And the shoe-horning somehow splattered shit over everything so that nobody gets to go home the better for it.
If I was the kind of piston-wristed-gibbon who used phrases like "destroyed my childhood" in reference to goddamn movie franchises... I gotta say, this shite was more worthy of that claim than any transformers or starwars or whatever else.
So shit.

I loved Skyfall, thought CR was a bit dull - the card game was so looong and dull
That was my memory too. Upon rewatch, I've changed my mind.
Yes, I think Skyfall is better. But I think Skyfall is the best Bond film ever.

I think 1 unnecessary-shooting-of-the-already-dead-by-booby-trap-baddies was generous ... but agree on the niece.

@MajorRage yeah, it wasn't bad. Would recommend, with a freshly steamed bag of dicks as a nicely matching viewing snack.

Spent the first part of this morning watching High Plains Drifter again. Utter bollocks of course, but in a brilliant way. 5 misanthropic psychopaths out of 5 dwarf sheriffs.
I’m a massive Clint fan but this would be behind the dollars trilogy, Outlaw Josey Wales and Unforgiven in his list of westerns.
It’s still great stuff though but probably not 5 out of 5

It's early in his director career, borrowing heavily on the Leone trilogy. Even Hang 'Em High is better.

You reckon ?
Haven’t seen it in yonks but I remember it being a big drop in quality from the dollars films which he’d just made.
Coogans Bluff ( not a western but made around the same time ) is a really good flick though.

White Boy Rick
Solid 3.5 newcomers out of 5 old hands
Excellent debut performance from ‘Rick’
I thank my lucky stars I didn’t grow up in Detroit
What a shithole

Wine flowing, fire going and temperature dropping so Mrs Meldrew suggested watching a Christmas film. The secret, romantic me being a bit of a sucker for things Christmas, I agreed and we settled for The Christmas Train. Starred Danny Glover & Dermot Mulrony and based on a David Baldacci book so should be OK right?
How wrong I was....and I'd really like that 95 minutes of my life back.
Utter crap. 2 screaming sugar-fuelled Christmas Day kids out of 5 drunk Christmas Aunts
