@taniwharugby I was really steady. 95 started uni at 70kg. 99 finished at 78kg. Aug 2000 departed for London at 81kg. Left London at 87.5 kg end of 04. Bounced 88-92 next 10 years .... then kids / age. Suddenly 96.5. Touching distance of ton. Massive plan, 3 months later 87. Then crept again to 95 ... marathon plan, 85. Now at 91 again (sigh) but on the downward.
Sigh. Love beer, wine, unhealthy food and have colossal appetite.

Wine and eating large meals alone late at night after the kids are asleep - think lamb shoulder and 4 potatoes at 9pm, washed down with a bottle of red
Hardly touch sweet stuff, no sugar other than what's in the wine (which I know is huuuge)

@voodoo 'eafrow Injection!
I think it was the perfect storm of me finally becoming the beast of a man I am, along with the food, booze, doing nothing, more booze and still doing nothing (which was probably the first time in my life I was playing no sports at all)

Oh yeah, so hadn't been for a proper run in months and certainly not on my own. Did the usual 3km on Saturday at 4:54/km. That weight makes a difference eh.
Yeah, it makes a massive difference. I reckon I lose about 5 sec/km for every kg I drop without changes to fitness. I think when I run, I sort of have an expected energy use, as I certainly don't think I'm running any faster.

Jesus. You guys could eat me and have room for dessert. I’m barely 70kg these days.
Got as high as 90 back in my GAINZ days where I ate shit, drank heaps and was allergic to cardio. That’s quite a lot for someone who is only 174cm.
-
@MajorRage yeah last time I ran I would've said I was a lot fitter but was probably more like 90-odd kg and would've been struggling to do 5:15/km I'd say. Crazy.
Ever thought about slowing down and running further? 5:15 is pretty quick for amateur distance running. It's a 1:50 half / 3:40 marathon.

@Rancid-Schnitzel you look taller

@Rancid-Schnitzel try 113kg at 176cm!! Then again I'm an ex-prop and that was during my powerlifting phase. Mid-high 90's now after slaying kai and beer during the holidays and back on the path to low 90's which is my target weight.

As if I'd be that creepy.
I mean, I'd definitely wear a mask at least.

You're all midgets.
To be fair, the only real midget spat the dummy and left the building early last year.
(Although I think he is still a member.. I think)
