    Right, so, ... Tenet...
I didn't find it as confusing and un-understandable as I'd expected from reviews,
but... yeah, there was heaps of times I thought "nah, that's not how that would work"...
I'm really hoping that it's a case like Primer - where it doesn't make sense on the first watch, but makes more and more sense on each watch, but... not sure.
A lot of it at the back-end seemed like a big excuse for showing 'xplosions-in-reverse

I do kinda like Nolan's production/direction style (the lighting or lack-of) of it just looking like real life. The very first scene reminded me of one of the Batman movies... no dark-ish atmospheric bullshit, just... this is how the lighting is in an opera house, or outside, or on a boat, or whatever.

Watched it a couple of weeks ago. Still can't figure out if I liked it, or was so confused I was unable to make up my mind

    Dark Waters

Geez, pretty out there and rather depressing. Based on a true story and starring Mark Ruffalo, Anne Hathaway, Tim Robbins, Bill Pullman. How did I know fuck all about this?

A tenacious attorney uncovers a dark secret that connects a growing number of unexplained deaths to one of the world's largest corporations. While trying to expose the truth, he soon finds himself risking his future, his family and his own life.

@kirwan do we really need another zombie film? I know I'll watch though.
Has anyone even finished The Walking Dead series, and should I? I stopped at 7 I think.

Look at this for a trailer, we are soooo excited for Disney's Raya and the Last Dragon

If it is done properly, always yes

    I bailed when Negan arrived.

Great movie, and like you, very embarrassed to admit I knew nothing of it

@voodoo yep, put my hand up there too!

@Kirwan I thought Negan was fantastic in his first season, but after that...might have been the 2nd season after he arrived I gave up, which was at least a few years ago.

I gave up after the first Negan season as he was so tiresome a character and the storylines reached peak stupid.

    :::

Apparently he became almost a "goody" in later seasons.

The Walking Dead went on FAR too long, As others have said Negan went from awesome to fucken ridiculous in one season.

Did he die in the end ? Actually I no longer care......Like GOT that part of my TV watching life is in the past never to be seen again.

I’d happily rewatch Banshee, Penny Dreadful and Breaking Bad though.

    The Little Things

It was either that or Wrong Turn and the other half won the coin toss and chose. Not too bad, good atmosphere and the three main actors ( Denz, Rami and J Dog ) are all terrific but it’s far too much like Seven ( and not as good ) and the ending left me a bit unsatisfied overall.

Worth a watch but not outstanding.

3 little things out of 5 big things.

Stay tuned for next weeks review, God bless cheap night at the movies.

    Boss Level:

A video game repeat the same day/levels action film. An action Groundhog Day, or a more game orientated Edge of Tomorrow.

This was actually a fun action film. Stars Frank Grillo, Naomi Watts, Michelle Yeoh and Mel Gibson.

Sentinelle. English dubbed (badly) version of the French La Sentinelle. Female special forces soldier in gone wrong operation in the ME goes back home. Sister gets drugged and raped. Soldier goes on the rampage, heaping revenge on rich Russian rapist. Olga Kurylenko is the lead, looking hot and fit as a butcher’s dog. Mild sapphic sex scene. No tits. Poor story, writing and acting.

2 hot Olgas out of 5 predictable plots.

Watched the Foreigner on Netlfix tonight. Jacky Chan plays the father out for revenge who has a hidden past, Pierce Brosnan channels his inner Gerry Adams to play a Northern Irish politician and one time IRA member. Set in London and Belfast, the movie has a gritty feel to it, Chan is quite the opposite to his usual smiling Rush Hour style character. Great action, suspense, and a high octane ending. A solid 4 soda bottle bombs out of 5 viet cong style death traps

This review makes it sound quite compelling. There’s tonight’s movie sorted. Brosnan is actually pretty decent when he’s not being James Bond.
