2/8/9/10/15 spine is still weak and struggles

and the Chiefs have who exactly in those positions?

Couldnt tell ya but would happily give up Ruru, Plumber and Perofeta for whatever they could pass our way

It's a deal on Gatland. WE might keep our 2 and 15 for a while longer though thanks.

it is astounding to me that this is a dead rubber for the Chiefs

That Blues squad is absolutely stacked. They have a supposed good coach, and a respected assistant. The Chiefs lost every game last season, and the first two this season.

And yet, here we are. Chiefs are resting players for the final

And heavy favourites for that final too. Did you hear we are missing Moody and Goodhue.

@act-crusader don't you dare try and claim underdog status.

10 time champs playing at home (where they have never lost a playoff game) try to claim underdog status. Gotta love the NZ mentality.

So have they finally spotted Ruru's limitations?

The Plummer experiment has at least been shelved, but then the bizzarre selection of Heem?

I thought the queue at the local TAB was a lot longer and happier looking than usual.

Doesn't this team selection exceed the ginga quota?

nah, they just forgot last week was Christies turn to start.

Excited to see how Sullivan goes. Good match to debut in, nothing really on the line

Was class personified for Auckland last year. A proper 15 not some 10 shoehorned into there

Am I missing a joke? Sullivan is a ten that can play fullback.

I'm pretty sure that Sullivan played at 10 for Napier Boys before he was poached. Not sure what position he played up in Auckland school rugby

Even more changes for the Chiefs than I predicted.

@bovidae that's a very different squad. 2 debutants starting and potentially 4 more on the bench. Dunno about Wainui at 13 and Sullivan playing at all. It's just funny how the Chiefs played it down then named this squad.
