@rancid-schnitzel imagine the outrage if they cast Brad Pitt as Martin Luthar King or Malcolm X.
Perfectly fine. Kirk Lazarus played Hot LZ.
and RDJ avoided grief as he was a white guy playing a white guy playing a black guy
He was hilarious in that. People are so easily outraged these days. As if we don't have more pressing things to worry about
Well I for one am deeply offended at tweets from young English cricketers from years ago and think it’s disgusting that he got selected in the first place.

Right, after all that talk about Bautista, and his movies, I downloaded a couple.
Final Score- Die Hard
- But with Dave Bautista, instead of Bruce Willis
- And in a soccer stadium, instead of a skyscraper
- And there's a crowd in there, oblivious to everything
That's pretty much all you need to know. If you can't extrapolate from those 4 bullet points, to pretty much feeling like you've seen the film - I envy your lack of imagination/intelligence.
But, some bonus points you might not have envisaged:
- Titwatch: zero
- Explosions: big (actually - yeah, you'd have that one)
- Gunfights on motorcycles inside a stadium concourse: check (yep - crowd is still oblivious even after this)
- Pierce Brosnan: check. Wait, what? Is that Pierce Brosnan? What the fuck? Why.... ? What the fuck?
- I won't list the "homages" to Die Hard. But suffice to say a dead terrorist body is thrown off the roof to let the cops know the situation is real.

I saw that. Decidedly average but good for a mindless watch.

Saw it too and decidedly fucking aweful!

@kruse I watched "his" zombie movie. Easily 30mins too long.
I haven’t even bothered finishing it yet. Zombie movies are so early 2000s.

Watched Don Siegel ruin the end of his career with a Michael Caine movie in 1974 - The Black Windmill. So fucking inept. Editing and script were so bad.
Michael Caine made some pretty shit movies in the '70's. Jaws:The Revenge is staggeringly bad.
Great actor though.

Very diverse back catalogue: I give you "The Swarm" 1978 and counter that with "Harry Brown" in 2009. The latter is not an easy watch but a good film nonetheless.
-
He was brilliant in Harry Brown - an outstanding film up there with Get Carter
I'll raise your Swarm with Ashanti, one god-awful film

Really ?
Clint raved about Siegel and said he was a massive influence. Even the greats have shit moments.

Paydirt
I don't know how or why I downloaded this. But a pox on whatever was the catalyst.
Just shitty. Characters are introduced with cheesy on-screen comic-style graphics, proudly proclaiming "The Brit", "The Babe", "The BadAss", "The Brawn", "The Brains", and probably some other shit I forgot.
It seems to be building up for some sort of heist, but with nothing really happening. And then "Pow" - the protagonists are flying away... and suddenly we've got the classic "this is how the heist was pulled off" exposition flash-back scenes.
Except... there was no fucking heist. And I think that's supposed to be the clever twist? Maybe?
That there never needed to be a heist, cause it was already done? Except... nah, just shit.
The genius move the main guy did, was going to prison for 6 years. Somehow, that's the clever bit.
Just... pretty shit.- Titwatch: zero
- Heists: zero
- Action scenes: zero
- Clever twists: zero
- Val Kilmers: 1. Well, maybe 0.5 - he looked half-dead - and I think that was only partially intentional

Least he was always honest about why he took on shit movies, for the money.
Think he even said the only reason he starred in Jaws 4 was he wanted to buy a new house or something.Thought he was great in the Dark Knight trilogy, that kinda balances the shit ones out.
