No, don't panic. Did a quick google new search.
Seems I'm falling into a similar trap.
we tend to get between 49,000 and 78,000 a week in shipments that will continue through June.
New Zealand would receive a million more doses of the Pfizer vaccine in July

@taniwharugby Just more proof that despite rules and procedures nothing is failsafe due to....people.

A person on Stewart Island has returned a weak positive test for Covid-19.
Officials are believed to be investigating whether it’s a current or historic case or if the test result was incorrect.
-
One thing I don't get is why, when there is a situation like the current one, basic information can't come out with the headline.
eg timeframe that they were at the airport. Lots of people would have gone through the airport on the day and surely it would be easy to say 'their flight was at x o'clock and they were in the airport for x time beforehand'. That would eliminate the thought of being at risk from a lot of people.

Not ideal. Let's see if Welly gets put into lockdown shortly. Hopefully not

so are people wearing masks on flights?
Given this person was an Aussie (or Kiwi living in Aus) they would unlikely have had the NZ Contact tracer app to register all the places they went, and given they were a tourist for the weekend, there will be alot!
-
Not sure why they decided to leave the border with NSW open when they closed the one with Victoria almost immediately. Major fuck up by the MOH. Cindy telling people who have been in the areas of interest not to come to NZ is just amateurish . People don't listen you naive muppet..

so, a pharmacy* huh...not feeling well in a world full of pandemic and then you carry on your merry way hitting tourist spots?
*Maybe it was just for deodorant or hair gel they went there, but who knows....

Jeez fellas, everyone is a bit jumpy here aren't they? I went to the chemist yesterday (got hairspray for my daughter, a prescription for my son, and some Toothpaste) - better isolate for a week or so.
Some folk won't listen to targeted restrictions? Better slam the border shut! Should probably also ban knives from all society because stabbings occur sometimes.
Just highlights for me how fucking stupid this situation is we are in. Nobody is in hospital, hardly anyone is sick, we have supposed world class tracing systems, and yet we have complete apathy for vaccinations and zero tolerance for any cases.

As an aside, I'm in priority 'Group Three' and was texted about booking a vax. The very earliest I've been able to get booked for locally is the 7th of August...
