We've seen the NH sides really lift after their 2015 embarassment. Good for them, now we have to do the same

Perhaps we should stop sending our coaches and retirees OS to teach them?

even more clickbait than he used to be since he struck out on his own.

A mate (genuinely not me yo) used to hop on Keo after the Bokke lost and troll them ... very easy to wind up his audience. I don't commend or condemn, but I do understand 🙂

@antipodean Personally, I think one of our failings since the Lions series and one that didn't seem to improve last year was the lack of go forward in our forwards. Predictable pod systems, a lack of pick and go, a lack of getting over the gain line, etc to create space for the backs. Keo is a wind-up merchant with a patch but in this case, there is no smoke without fire, unless the All Black forwards get more efficient, it won't matter which backs will be playing.

@old-samurai-jack I agree our structure is easily read. Not sure changing players makes a difference.

I'm just furious that after all the talk about imposing ourselves, they coaches selected the team they did to be humiliated by Argentina.

In the last 3 years we have played like a team who thinks they can’t win a physical battle. Makes it easier to defend as you take out nearly half the field

Two A Crusaders and one T Chief would work.

Of those available in the squad, on the above basis:

DeGroot (just shades Karl on workrate but loses on scrummaging, so wouldn’t make my actual team)
    Taylor
    Ofa
    Whitelock
    Retallick
Blackadder (I actually think Robinson but he wasn’t picked)
    Paps
Ioane (I think Sotutu is much more Zinzan than Buck, if that makes sense)

@chris That's how I see our top starting forward pack right now. Could be a tweak in the loose forwards.

@gt12 The elephant in the room....... the Crusaders loose forwards seemed to dominate against the Blues despite the Blues advantage at set piece.......

The bench would be strong if we fielded that 8 some good impact with
Coles,OfaT, Patty T, Dalton or Ardie

So Keo in SA has written off the All Black forwards as "frail". Hate to say it but he does have a point (for once). Unless there are some serious improvements this year, this so-called frailty is going to be an obvious target for the opposition.

Was it Keo? Saw the headline and just didn't bother. Am now feeling justified.

Saw Jim Kayes tweet something about some bloke hardly any Kiwi had heard of. Keo's been around for years (been quiet recently ... is he making a comeback now they won something, are ranked No.1, and are unbeaten for nearly two years?), so if you haven't heard of him you haven't done your job, and if you have you know he's (politely) a provocateur.
