I'm just amazed at the sheer crapness of some of the cricket that is now filmed and official looking. It does provide comedy gold though.

India's female team is in Australia at the moment. One of the Aussie girls was back at the stumps taking an outfield return and it bounced awkwardly, hitting her in the face.

She's a bowler, so they need her out there.

    She's back out there.

India went to town with about 4 overs to go. Three 4s, needing a run a ball. Great result

I am enjoying the English County Championship final as a long suffering supporter of Warwickshire. Heck of a scoreboard and the 'double' looks imminent. Would like to see Rob Yates tested at international level.

Justin Langer, such a cheerful chap: Cricket: Australian coach Justin Langer 'not happy' with debutant Nathan Ellis' accessory

Nathan Ellis goes on for an over as a sub, takes a catch, but quoting in part:

"Apparently he made the mistake of wearing his Casio watch on the field, and JL doesn't believe in jewellery on the field, not even a Casio watch, and gave him a bake for it."

Test captain Tim Paine had Ellis on his SEN Hobart radio show last month, where the pair dived into the incident.

"One of the things with JL, he absolutely hates blokes who wear anything jewellery-related onto the cricket field," Paine said. "Poor old Ell's got no idea about this, no one's given him the heads up.

"He's gone out, taken a catch — got an absolute burst for it, didn't you?"

Ellis replied: "Yeah. And I was so stoked too because I got on for one over, first time I'd been on the park for Australia, first time I'd put on the clothes.

"I was so stoked and got off and got an absolute serve. Bit of an anticlimax."

I don’t think it’s too much of a stretch to say that Oz should murder this rabble.

Without sounding like Sean Fitzpatrick I’d only accept one of these guys in a mythical combined English/New Zealand test side.

@mn5 Sad Little Joe for Henry Nicholls?

I think you'd definitely consider Butler / Bairstow over a largely unproven Blundell.

    Otherwise it's no contest

Consider them yes but they wouldn’t walk in like Root would.

Actually I’m not sure which of Taylor or Nicholls would miss out for him. That’s a potentially tough call. They are ranked 12th and 10th best in the world respectively. Maybe they both make it if we have a keeper batting at seven depending on the balance of the mythical side. One thing is for sure none of the other non keeping pommy chumps would have a shit show of getting in.

As for their bowlers I MIGHT take geriatric James Anderson but that would be rough on Boult, Southee or Wags. The young promising guy who nearly got cancelled by the PC police has had a great start but it’s too early and besides, Jamieson has done better.

So yeah, provided the sun shines lots in Australia then England are fucked.

just got up for the second half of the IPL final.

CSK posted 192. Not impossible, but will take some getting.

Would love to see Gill get going, but here's hoping for a good second innings

KKR just fell in a hole the last 10 balls. Suddenly behind the rate

nearly 8 overs in, KKR need to go for it or the game will slip away. No wickets lost, but Darren Sammy and the spinner are killing them

... and Viyer ploughes a straight 6 off the last ball of the over. That shit was important y'all

Well, saw something new. Gill smoked one up - and it hit the spider cam cable, so dead ball and rebowl. Wow. Never seen that before,

KKR need 114 off 63, with 10 wickets in hand. Going to be a big ask, but should see some hitting for sure

9 off the last three by Gill, and suddenly 105 off the last 10 overs. 88/0. A few good hits get you htere - looking forward to this.

You can tell it's before 6am and no one is awake around here 🙂
