    @jc He's so fucking bad.

Strangely popular in Denmark for some reason.

It’s gonna be really awkward when someone posts something and someone else mentions how much they like it.

There was a lot of shit in the grunge era, but this was the most mawkish, and nakedly striving to be sensitive and deep - pure retarded adolescence. Vedder was very cringe, and this was a song he wrote before joining Pearl Jam.

It took 2 minutes. This tune is an absolute anthem for me.

Weirdly this one was lauded over here at the time. Opus was the word I remember most. Self-indulgent pretentious bollocks was my take.

What they should do is play this at sporting events, I reckon it’d really go off.

@majorrage Yeah that one takes the cake.

In the mid 00s I interviewed for a job in Melbourne, my on and off gf came over from California to visit, we were walking around near docklands after dinner and I started on some bullshit about how "there's actually a pretty cool art and music scene here", then that fucking song started blasting from a bar, and we both cracked up.

Fuck you and your awful song, Proclaimers.

I remember going to a vineyard in the Hawkes Bay a couple of years back, the posters were still up as Scotlands most famous singing twins had done a tour recently. I spoke to staff and apparently the concert was TWO AND A HALF HOURS LONG……three encores…..which of course concluded with this song.

Just cos you might know it word for word does NOT make it a good song.

The time I actually gave a crap about the music charts was from about 1991 to 1999.

The songs that pissed me off the most were:
    The Fly-U2
    High-The Cure
    Anything by Frente (holy fůck)
Groove is in the Heart - Some bint and a Japanese dude
    Push the Little Daisies -Ween

I'm sure there are many more to be added. I see Pearl Jam are mentioned. Their song Bugs is so fucking shit.

Hanging out at the Loaded Hog back in the mid 90s, if this song came on the floor it made me want to throw a chair

Watched this doco on Netflix a while back, on the Swedish influence on mainstream music and in particular US music. https://www.thrillist.com/entertainment/nation/this-is-pop-netflix-everything-we-learned

Haven't read the thread and am not going to post the video but for some reason "The Time of My Life" from Dirty Dancing drags the will to live from me.

Dont know how to describe it better than that, but I equate it to drinking merlot (and you might have noticed that I enjoy a red), which just, for some reason, drags energy out of me and just leaves me feeling meeh. Can't describe it.

World would be better without this song.
