I watched Thor: Love and Thunder. I went in with pretty low expectations based on the media coverage surrounding the movie. It was typical quirky Taika stuff. But it was a reasonable watch despite failing to scale the heights of better Marvel films
fair enough, I thought Christian Bale was great but let down by the rest of the movie which really wanted to be a slapstick collection of skits. And the Guardians got virtually zero character development. Wasted potential there IMO.

It was a low key watch which I didn't feel required my full attention at all times. Certainly no Endgame

Falling Down
I’m really going through a phase ( which has lasted years ) of accidentally stumbling across movies I haven’t seen in years, watching them and in some cases hating them or loving them. This is firmly in the latter category…..
Michael Douglas has never been better and the supporting cast is terrific as well. When I saw this as a teenager I thought “Fuck what a psycho”…..now as a bloke of 45 who has had a divorce and worked jobs I absolutely hated I find him, well a bit more relatable…….
Pretty far fetched and a few too many coincidences but shit it still holds up and is wonderfully entertaining ( horrifying to realise this movie is nearly THIRTY years old !!! )
4 D Fens out of 5 Bust up my store.

Had a simliar view and reviewing of it around 3-4 years ago.
very under rated film in my view.

6 Underground
Had never heard of this and found it on Netflix last night. I enjoyed it myself, although to say its' a bit far fetched is one hell of an understatement. Been looking at Auto Trader today for bright green Alfa Romeo's ...
I mean, it's Michael Bay crossed with Ryan Reynolds. You know what your going to get. A shit load of over the top action, complete bullshit scenes with some perfectly delivered dialogue.
4 Green Alfa Romeos out of 5 Can't stop thinking about that cars

And on topic: Started watching American Gigolo. Didn't bother finishing it as the sound production was so bad. Comically so.
Moved on to Fatal Attraction. I can see how this unnerved men when it was released, but the idea a successful man would bump uglies with Glenn Close sober threw me, until I remembered Arnie and his maid...

The movie or the new TV series?

1980 movie. If it was ever good, it didn't age well.

The TV show is definitely worth a watch

I can’t read the whole thing but I see John Boyega is not going to be playing Bond which is certainly a reason to rejoice.

Watched Uncharted on the plane last night (magnetic island in queensland, very nice), that was really fun too, gets rubbish reviews but i really enjoyed it, fun treasure hunting movie, hope they make more

Guess they couldn't get Eric Roberts for this one.

@MiketheSnow Should be Dan Stevens!

@Tim he was probably too busy, gotta be the busiest man in Hollywood, or he thought the plot was shite...I'll go with the former!
I always feel sorry for Eric Roberts when I imagined him at family get togethers comparing box office takings with his sister.

Just watched this movie called Avatar. The best 3D movie I've seen (the only other two being Tintin and Tron), it is visually spectacular. But, the story and script is pretty average white saviour malarky. Some of the lines were so clunky I assume Cameron got Lucas in to punch up the dialogue.
Yes, this was the first time I've ever seen Avatar.
