Saw a anniversary show once and the guy that played Burns was the most popular member of the cast, he sucked up all the punishment he got on the show without a complaint and the rest of the cast loved him even more for being such a good sport about it.The last episode is still some of the best tv I've ever seen.
Yeah I saw that as well. Harry Morgan looked old but still had all his marbles.

Apparently the last episode is still the most watched episode of any show ever.

Can't compare really though, there were less channels back them so even something like Battlestar Galactica and tens of millions of viewers.

We had plenty of channels for many years, going back to the 1980s. And even back then there was nothing but shite on TV.

BOTH Batman films ? well fuck me dead. I'd throw in 28 days later, Inglourious basterds, Gran Torino, Revenge of the Sith.....and many more I can't think of. Shit like Moulin Rouge, Amelie ( I assume cos I've never seen it ), Finding Nemo and Pirates of the Carribean have no place being there but like "Rugby teams of the decade" these lists are always pretty dubious.

I am a big Kid and love Nemo. My son watches it maybe 1 time every couple of weeks and I am yet to get bored of it. Yeah and Im a bit of a romcom poof and enjoyed Amelie. Same with Pirates it was like an old school Errol Flynn movie redux. Im a Batman and Judge Dredd nerd so both films are good with me.

For some reason I hated Pirates, maybe it was Orlando Blooms fault.

Bale does make an excellent caped crusader.

Finding Nemo will make its way into the MN5 movie collection once the young fella is old enough I'm sure !

Moulin Rouge was crap, it was huge here in Oz but anything with Kidman in it and/or directed by Baz Lurhman gets huge raps here regardless of how good it is or not. Just like the last one they did..Australia? Even the shorts looked shocking and I hear not even Hugh Jackman could save that one.

I wouldn't have rated Slumdog in this list, nor Batman or Pirates. I think Elizabeth should be up there and what about RocknRolla ?

Saw Avatar 3D a few weeks back, it's very cool.

Went to the movies last week for the first time in like ... ever (well - months ...).

The Princess and the Frog for Miss boo jr.

Enjoyable.

Was a cartoon rather than CGI but still cool.

Thought they would lose the little kids early on as it took a while to get to the frog part, and thought Mbj would be scared by the Shadows from the Other Side but she wasn't - so all good.

spoiler For those who see it - I did like how Ray got together with Evangeline! Sad but happy. spoiler

The Tournament - every 7 years a bunch of the best assasins compete for loads of cash and kill one another. Loads of mindless action, Ving Rhames as the lead - 5.5/10

The Time Travellers Wife - drama, a tad confusing in places with all the time travelling all over the show, not to mention the rather, um, almost perverted premise to the whole movie, but was ok for what it was 6/10

Re-watched Kalifornia, top flick, and some great acting by Bradd Pitt as the likable but dangerous Early, shame few of his roles since have tested him much, but he is a great actor! (Se7en, Burn After Reading and Inglorious Basterds)

    oh, also endured Australia...

Dont think it was quite as bad as some have made out, not a 'great' flick, was cheesy and over the top, but then I think that is what they were aiming for.

Everything "Baz" Luhrmann has done has been shit. He's a tacky, tasteless director of shit. Quite the contrast to the other celebrated film-makers of recent Australian history.

Have tried to watch Australia a few times (being played alot on sky at the moment) just cant get passed how cheesy, predictable, cliched and shit it is though.

If that was meant to be his masterpiece, defining piece of work then he fell well short.

Wasnt cheap to make either, not in the Avatar range, but i doubt the execs got much back from it.

Avatar on the other hand is raking it in, over $1.3b world wide so far. 2nd only to Titanic.

The problem with Autralia is that even though the acting is good and the photography pretty amazing the way the story was put together is all over the place. Had the two main story arcs ran concurently instead of one after the other it would have made for a better movie I think.

At one point you think the movie is over, all ends well... but no.

What do you mean there's 90 minutes of movie left?!? How's that possible?! They've made it to Darwin. The cattle is on the boat. THE CATTLE IS ON THE BOAT!
