I need to watch Bonnie and Clyde again.
I don’t think Bonnie and Clyde will stack up , the Highwaymen showed them up as the sociopaths they were and from memory the guy who Kevin Coster played sued them for the way he was portrayed in the movie .

@Catogrande I think I liked it most because it felt realistic in terms of portraying the two older leads for once. Like their vast experience both helped and hindered, they grappled with new tech, were rusty in some areas, cunning af in others, weren't leaping fences in a single bound type crap.

Frank Hamer in Bonnie and Clyde, you mean? I see that was played by Denver Pyle.
The Highwaymen certainly captured the celebrity status Bonnie and Clyde attained, and was probably more historically accurate as Hamer's son was involved with the screenwriter.

Joker: I must admit I went to see this without knowing anything about it, it wasn't my pick so I just went along for the popcorn.
The Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy was my favourite Batman series so assumed that the Joker would be part of a new series, maybe it is I don't know??
As a stand alone origins film... Its perfect, leave it there! I think something would be taken from it if there are to be more films with Joaquin, and to be honest I don't think he would go along for the ride. His acting was top notch as usual. I love it when great actors make you go wow again, like how could he get better?Music was just perfect, loved the character but you're meant to, it's his film.
Slow going for 80% of the film but needed to be, I heard people complaining they were bored then ooohing and aaahing at the end.8.5/10
Joaquin's sexiness- 2/10 (first film I haven't fancied him in)

The Avengers Endgame. A bit of a slow burner, while they took time to get the band back together. Built solidly with a few twists and turns until the massive battle scenes at the climax. I enjoyed the film, tied up loose ends nicely. 5 fallen super heroes out of 5 overweight super heroes

The 2nd Transformers movie really is unadulterated shit, except for 2 things
Megan Fox is at her hottest; and
Michael Bay makes her run a lot, and it's very clear she doesn't have a lot of support.

Saw 'Joker' tonight. Have had 2 weeks of folk telling me to see it as well as the cashier at the candybar raving about it so was very concerned my expectations would be too high. They weren't, really enjoyed it, Pheonix was superb, they did a terrific job creating such a character. I don't understand the political hoo-ha about it, I understand some review places gave it a bad review on principle but I haven't looked into that properly. 5 / 5 for me.

@Rembrandt interesting, a colleague of mine say it yesterday and said if you don't expect DC, it's really good and Phoenix is brilliant in his portrayal of the character. Real underlying menace.

@antipodean yeah it doesn't really feel like a comic book movie. Easily holds up as a stand alone movie but still fits in the dc universe for comic fans but they aren't in-your-face about it. If that makes sense.
