Netflix have a series Snowpiercer based on on the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige. You may remember the movie Snowpiercer from 2013 which I liked.
Also the Netflix series has Jennifer Connelly.
Gave this a go last night. God damn, eat something woman ! You used to have arguably the best natural cans in Hollywood, where are they now you pile of bones ?
Definitely quite a thought provoking show if you put the absolute implausibly to one side. Two episodes in so far....50/50 on whether it will stay compelling or descend into utter crap.
Did you see and like the movie?
negative. Might give it a go. I do enjoy post apocalyptic shows/movies if they're well done.
Ah, I was hoping to get a comparison of the two. I enjoyed the movie.

@Nepia was Captain America in the movie?
I think it was ok, nothign great, but a decent watch.
Yup. Directed by Bong Joon Hoo and I think based in a french graphic novel.

Finished watching S3 of Killing Eve, which was excellent (apart from ep 1 which was a bit meh, kept getting better and better after that thankfully) ending was rather ambiguous, so it might end there or maybe another season. (Must admit, Villanelle working for M16 might be a laugh...) now I'm watching Flack S2 with Anna Paquin. I enjoy the snark and celebs being thoroughly shitty, but damn it does get bleak at times.

Space Force - it’s not what I hoped for but it’s nowhere near as bad as it’s being made out to be. Some strange character arcs but it’s enjoyable enough to see where it’s going. Oddly the Carell Malkovich paring works. Episode 7 where Malkovich is drunk at his desk, by himself, spitting tacks at his Chinese counterpart is hilarious and creepy.
Just didn't work for me. Gave up after Ep 02
I'm a big Malkovich & Carell fan but thought they both sucked in this.

Really trying to stick with this as I get to the end of season 1 but FFS it is sedate in its pacing. There are series that are more entertaining.
Just into second series. We thought last couple of first sagged a bit.

Stick with it. Focusses on the Atlanta child killings problems they had working with local police and politicians.

Will do. Starting to find Holden rather irritating!

Finished the latest season of Seal Team.
Still enjoy it for what it is, despite a number of characters being unlikeable, including David Boreanaz as the lead.
Was getting annoyed that my fave character, Sonny was turned into a dickhead for a few eps though, but fortunately redeemed in the last couple.

shit i've just realised i never finished the last episode of S2!! i had it on my phone and was watching it on work trips, and then never finished it when i stopped having to fly anywhere.
You know what i have been watching? Lego Masters with my kids. The people on it are fucking dorks, but the models they create are amazing, and the one that wins the season needs to be seen to be believed.

I watched the season, but it just doesn't have the quality of writing to sustain it or justify another season. Pity because the premise and actors are good.
-
@Victor-Meldrew what's initially wrong is that the 2 are at odds for the same old cliched reasons. Army intelligence vs actual intelligence. Nerds vs jocks. But it does get better.
-
@antipodean I watched the season also (episode 1 was by far the stinker) but I think the biggest problem is that Space Force didn't know what it wanted to be, goofy farce or snarky satire or cutesy family drama so was a weird mash up of all three. Really excellent cast wasted. They did leave it on a cliffhanger, but not sure if anyone is going to be super enthused about a S2.
