A neat resolution to The Sinner.
Or is it?

I was seriously disappointed in the finale of The Sinner. After such gripping buildup in episodes 1-5, and the batshit crazy of 6 and 7, it was incredibly tame, disjointed, showed huge leaps in logic, forgot how certain plot points had been described (like winter) and offered some truly stupid moments. Did you kill him? No! It was ALL the other guy who is freshly dead. And in my opinion, it also left some key questions not answered, or answered in a VERY vague/weird way. So I kind of hope that isn't it, although with the number of deaths, not sure where they could go.

Know what you mean. But at least it wasn't a 'Lost' ending - literally and figuratively.
Alzheimers might have kicked in but what happened to JD?

@mikethesnow He got shot in his home by the dudes in the black car. Found by Cora's hubby.

Yeah - it was a bit of a letdown. Not really any twists or anything - just "shit, better clean up all the loose ends". And it only comes together because of a crap wall-papering job.

Watched first part of Black Lake a Swedish thriller/horror about a group of friends on a trip to a remote ski lodge with a view to buying it. Spooky noises, strange child drawings, a weird janitor etc.
The scenery is stunning and there are titties.Speaking of ... where is Jegga these days?
He went awol around the same time as Metiria Turei lost her job. Maybe they have shacked up together?

watched the first ep of Mr Mercedes...wow, brutal opening sequence.
Yep - just watched that myself. No idea what to expect - until the car turns up, and then - fuck... know what's going to happen, but still not really prepared for that.
-
@taniwharugby I'm also a little concerned about the recent proclivity of incest on our television screens.
I don't know if it's neckbeard.R.R Martin to blame, or if it goes back further... I just hope nobody thinks of serialising Oldboy. -
What channel or by what means are you guys watching Mr Mercedes? I can't find it in Aus.

Not convinced about Electric Dreams so far. Maybe with PKDs stories they need to be of a longer format to work on screen where you can get distracted by the setting, characters or occasional bits of action and forgive the highbrow concepts.
The short stories just leave you puzzled.
If you enjoy that type of thing though, they are very well made.
