For want if a better place. Can’t believe he died 20 years ago. Absolute legend of the NZ Music scene.

    Dylan Taite - AudioCulture

    Dylan Taite - AudioCulture

The TV reporter lurches into and out of the camera like a goldfish on a bungee cord. And he’s saying things. Lots of things: “It’s a pleasure to be here. To body swerve freshly vomited. Ratburgers.” That was how a lot of people of a certain age first came

His Bob Marley interview is world famous. Reclusive Bob and the Wailers were holed up in the Mon Desir in Parnell and Dylan Taite rocks up with a football and invites them to a local park for a kick around.

As a youngster I always admired how Taite could dress how he liked and have “non normal” hairstyles on TV in an era of broadcasting conservatism.

Forget Bob Marley, I can’t believe he got to meet Chuck Norris !!!!!!!!!!!!

Got the CD for Christmas. For a diminutive, housewife- looking, mid-40's singer, Clare Torry still had a bloody great voice.

@Crucial said in What are you listening to, right now................:

For starters 'Love will Tear us Apart' only at number two ruins it straight away.

Fixed it for ya - as a public service.

I do know all those listed although I don't think even 10 would I consider for a GOAT list. Unsurprisingly Joy Division isn't one of them

If only Mallard had thought to play Love Will Tear Us Apart the Parliament protests would have melted away like the angsty teenage dreams of all those 80's JD and New Order fans.

Displaying your lack of taste so openly is something I admire 😉

Def in my top 10 songs even if it's not one I listen to on high rotate.

Absolutely, epic trip down memory lane seeing his picture.

I still remember asking my parents why that guy looks and dresses so funny.

Amazing to think how conservative NZ used to be.

Cool photos of Dylan Taite. I remember seeing him around Hamilton often when I was a kid.

If you get over the slightly 80’s guitar ( in the 90s ) and the shitty video quality you’ll realise that Mikey Havoc was really quite the rocker back in the day.

Cool tune. ( Much better than trippin )
