Thanks Naholo. A real lack of leadership and form by some All Blacks in this match. Will the selectors be paying attention?

The biggest concern from my perspective was seeing an AB 9-10 combination lack patience

Meh sopoaga is long gone and mentally had one foot on the plane all season.

Don't worry, Lima is going and we can slot DMac into that combination instead.

    Oh.

Well, the Landers will look back on that game with an awful lot of regret. Naholo in particular - that sort of performance in a big game should count strongly against him when it comes to a black jumper.

Some credit to the Tahs. If someone in the other side does something dumb, you make them pay - that is often the difference at this level. If that's my team then I'd be pleased with how they exploited that, and they were clinical as fuck at exploiting the extra man.

Congrats to the Sydney based Ferners. Onto a semi that is absolutely winnable. You won't beat the Saders in the final though, but nobody will.

So can the ABs look for a new 14?

Lam, Bridge and Alamailo say 'yes'.

Let down at crucial moments by pretty much all the leaders. Pretty ordinary games on attack by Walden and Thomas too, Walden picked the wrong game to get the dropsies.

Naholo was really bad against France, and was shithouse tonight. Looks like he has hit the 27 years wall for power wingers.

@bones Yep. And they were a man up and camped on the Tahs line and fucked that also. Headless chook rugby, and where was the captain telling everyone to calm the fuck down?

Clan completely shit the bed in a game to be remembered immemorial.

I'm fucken livid and glaring at the coaches box.
What chance a team who've cantered into 5 finals in 5 years all of a sudden looks shit as a fucken Deans prodigy smears his stink on a winning culture?

    fluffybunnies

edit: and a cold shoulder to our All Blacks (sans Squire?) who should have got that job done. aww fuck it

Man - that game was pretty much in the bag when the Highlanders were hammering at the Tahs line and leading 23-6. Tahs heads were dropping and they were waiting for the final nail to be hammered home.

But, then a silly intercept pass... Waisake handed them a crowbar - the lid was smashed off and the corpse spent 10 minutes orchestrating a zombie apocalypse.

Highlanders will be gutted at that result.

Reckon Naholo may have put paid to his AB chances - at least as far as WC chances go. Bridge is starting to look very very good, and makes the right decisions.

@shadowtrooper that's the difference at that level; decision making and execution under pressure.

They were up by 17 at half time and fucked it. Not my fault.

Naholo - like Savea - is a great attacking player but a shit defender. His yellow card should not have made that much difference, but it did.

Tahs were superb at exploiting the extra bit of space when Naholo went off. When the Landers were up a man, they looked rushed, pressured and out of control.
