AB MOTM v Argentina
-
Pick 3
-
A lot of ferners disappointed they can only vote for Goodhue once.
-
Goodhue, Taylor and ALB.
TJ, Ardie, Frizell, Read, Whitelock and Smith put in good performances too.
Luke of the Whitelocks got hit with a few shoulders at ruck time, but he put himself about too, as did most of the team, just not all together.
While Mounga had a mixed performance, it had me thinking about the AB (quality) eligible 10s playing rugby around the world at present...
BB, RM, DMac (he put in a class performance starting at 10 against France) DC, Cruden, Sopoaga, Slade...plus Donald could slot in no matter what

So many 10s and Jimmy Gopperth will be furious he STILL misses the cut.

Goodhue the obvious choice. Read was immense, back to his best which is great to see. Then went for Ben Smith who is also back to his best and really shone despite the wings either side of him.
Frizell was awesome for the first 30, but then went missing for a long period while he caught his breath so couldn't give him a vote - can't afford to go missing like that against the top teams. Easy work-on though, and he did look very impressive in the early exchanges which shows how strong he is.
Honorable mentions to Ardie (was into everything), TJP (very polished performance) and ALB (made a huge impact, maybe @mariner4life does know what he's talking about).
-
Frizell for his first 30 minutes and his last 15 minutes, TJP for his overall command and two try savings, and Ben Smith who was brillant.
But I could have voted for the following ones as well.
Codie Taylor was outstanding, as usual, but made two bad throws, while Goodhue was nearly faultless. Read was powerful and Barrett's passing allowed Frizell to shine. I also like DMac and TTT when they came in. -

A Savea was extremely powerful with ball in hand I thought. Very tough to drag down for someone supposedly undersized.
He sat a couple of the big Argie boys on their asses, Creevy included. He had a really strong game.

Some of us voted for him.

What us England-based ferners know as "Manu Tuilagi Syndrome"
-
Frizzell, TJP and Savea.
Honourable mentions to ALB, Goodhue, Taylor, Tu’inukuafe's scrummaging, Frank's ball running.
-
Goodhue, ALB and DMac.
Man love for the backs.
