How high did Davey jump in the air when he celebrated his 100??

About as high as your level of triggered outrage when discussing the topic of Warner.

I don’t know, my triggered outrage over Davey dumb dumb is impressively high...

It was a bit of an un-Warner like century from Warner. 50 of his runs came from 12 deliveries with the remaining 57 runs from 99 deliveries. A more successful innings for Warner would be to come in and smash a quick 50 or 70 off 30 or so balls to get the innings off to a flyer.

@NTA no wonder they feel the need to cheat, πŸ˜‰ you guys ( Aussie fans) are bloody tough on your team. That was a very satisfactory 2 points earned in a perilous rainy round Robin format. A fine win.

When you win, 5 times already πŸ™‚, its Straya Straya fuck yeah, but until that time it's fucken useless so and so, etc

And yes, the same can be leveled at AB supporters too, but only those that know fuck all about rugby πŸ˜‰

    Just jiving with you πŸ™‚

The previous highest number of abandoned games in a World Cup was two, in 1992 (Australia) and 2003 (South Africa). We are now at 4.

Two games were abandoned in 2015 also. Aus/Bangladesh due to rain and the NZ skipper abandoned the final on the third ball of the match.

And it will keep going up and up and up. Comically bad decision by the ICC to hold the World Cup of a sport that relies on it being sunnier all day in one with such a wet, cold climate. I think England will have to build indoor cricket stadia before they are allowed to host the Cricket World Cup again.

As much as it hurts to defend the pommy weather there are some off the mark comments here
For starters this weather is unusual. Looking like wettest June in record.
A few weeks back the weather was great.
I can honestly say I find it drier in London these days than Wellington.
But yeah, it’s really shit at the moment and I wish the good stuff would come back

It still haunts me today that we chose to bat when our number one strength in that tournament was Trent Boult. Letting him at the Aussies when it was hooping around would have put them on the back foot to begin with. Grrr.

Is it wet this time of year in England? Would it have been better to play it later in the summer?

@No-Quarter I heard on the radio they usually have on average about 10mm of rain this time of year, and in the past week they had had over 100mm...

At the time i didn't hate the decision. Had we scored 300 they would have been under enormous pressure. And there was no reason not to think our top order was capable of that.

Aussies bowled beautifully, and we cracked. Simple as that. Fuckers.

Yep, I agree with this. Runs on the board in the finals are good, and we'd batted well all tournament. BMac didn't change his approach, but some people really climbed into him ... despite him smashing opening bowlers all over the park previously

also, I think it looks like of the 11 finals, 7 have been won by the team batting first (and that was 7/9 before 2011 and 2015)

Maybe the BCCI have got something teed up for their team shortly after the CWC (not forgetting the three weeks break they would insist on too!)

I was worried as hell about Starc in that tournament, he was in the form of his life and tearing teams apart; including us in the round robin. Letting him have first crack meant we were always going to start on the back foot, and Aussie ruthless as they were never took their foot off our throat.

Sure it probably wouldn't have mattered overall, but at least if Boult had been given the ball we could have put them under the pump to begin with. As it was Boult was largely nullified as they just blocked him out given the small total they were chasing.
