One thing I would really like to know is why Folau is wanting 3 million when even a generous estimate wouldn't put his legal defence costs anywhere near that.
Pretty obvious really...
When I see Israel Folau the characteristic I have noticed most is how readily and how often he smiles. When he does something exceptional his immediate reaction is a big happy smile, he appears as a bloke who enjoys what he does with the people around him.
I see here a childish outburst from Our Clyde which reminds me that each time I have seen his occasional pieces on rugby they are bellicose, omniscient, sanctimonious, hectoring and, in this example, employing ridicule. It seems he fancies himself as an aspiring sports writer and social commentator, in the manner of Peter Fitzsimons.
I do not think an exchange with Our Clyde would be a good conversation.
Anything I've read by him has been self-indulgent nonsense. I find no humour in one twat slagging off another twat.
Reminds me of Stephen Jones and Spiro Zavos slagging each other off in the past . Its hard to give a fuck either way whos right or wrong when they are both fuckwits.
Did Phil Kearns weigh in on this?

So you're calling Clyde sanctimonious, in the context of Folau's defending himself on religious grounds, when he's been fired based on nothing to do with religious grounds.
The ironing is delicious.
Nah, NTA, your mom jeans have creases in them.
This time try reading what I wrote:
"his occasional pieces on rugby they are bellicose, omniscient, sanctimonious"
Are you with me there luv?

@Mick-Gold-Coast-QLD Israel Folau says people like me are going to hell, so forgive me if I couldn't give a fat rats arse about how much he smiles. What the fuck has that got to do with anything? It is no evidence of character or morality.
As for calling Rathbone sanctimonious... -
@nzzp mate I reckon they've all been promised untapped market potential from the woke crowd. Riches so vast you've got to keep ahead of the latest victimhood/oppressor trends lest you forfeit the big bankroll.
It's seemingly worth millions to convince all and sundry that you're sensitive to victims. I mean dark this whole thing boils down to " he said bad words about homos".
I think they're overestimating the outrage and the noisey 8% and I think the fund me page is an indicator of this misconception of society.
This whole episode is just a manifestation of "wokeness " innit?

@Rancid-Schnitzel of course I don’t!
That’s Drew’s opinion, and people can agree or disagree with it - doesn’t make them right or wrong. I just happen to agree with him.
You think he’s bullshitting, I don’t. I’m
Ok to disagree. -

As for calling Rathbone sanctimonious...Most of the fern is going to hell according to Phaleaux . Drunks and fornicators are joining you in Satan’s realm . To be honest I don’t want to spend eternity with the people with the trainspotters who are going to heaven .

I am married and the chances of me going to hell are slim to none most nights
I think they include before you took a vow of celibacy....I mean got married.

Oh no you don’t mate. The Vatican says “2352 By masturbation is to be understood the deliberate stimulation of the genital organs in order to derive sexual pleasure. "Both the Magisterium of the Church, in the course of a constant tradition, and the moral sense of the faithful have been in no doubt and have firmly maintained that masturbation is an intrinsically and gravely disordered action.”
You’re coming to Hell with us matey. I’ll save you a place too.

@Siam I had a long post written, but it just came across wrongly. This is a goddamn minefield; I'm very anti Folau's views, but pro free speech. So not sure how much I'll weigh into this.
Remember - 2 years ago, 40% of voters opposed same sex marriage. I'm a firm supporter of that, but am starting to have concerns about (excuse the horribly cliched term) thought policing. Are people allowed to hold anti-same sex views? What views are acceptable? This goes right down the path of bloody Samoa banning Rocketman; I don't think it changes views, just drives them underground.
... and now I'm posting more than I want to. Will retire to the sidelines I think, and leave this one alone for a bit.
