Fuck you Schmidt - post-match interview.

You weren't hard done by, you were done over.

    Wear it.

Disappointed by his response. Always rated his grace in defeat until now.

Isn't this result kind of bad for us and potentially good for the Boks?

Easy to be gracious when you lose to teams that have a recognized chance of beating you.

Absolutely. Not sure why some are so happy with this result.

Could end up being. Not the way the Irish are playing though

    No Plan B for Ireland.

    Schmidt shown up. Again.

And the real problem was plan A was "play for 15 minutes, score a few points and go home early"

    @Frank

I sense the ABs don't waste too much mental energy thinking on things like that.

The mantra seems to be you play what's in front of you.

Seeing Schmidt with the shakes in the coaching box, he doesn't look well eh. Parkinsons? Motor neuron?

Apparently BOD was a pundit on the Irish coverage and didn't take the result well. If anyone has the footage and can post it I will be eternally grateful

Potentially yes. But I think Ireland’s gameplan has been found out. They also rely on sexton who has been under an injury cloud. They also can’t take the Samoa game for granted so only Russia can get the B team. If they play like today though, NZ wouldn’t be losing.

@antipodean Of course. You can't rule out a good team based on one bad performance. I heard the same talk in 03 leading up to the semi against the wobs.

How can the Irish believe they can beat the All Blacks or the Boks when they can’t beat Japan? They aren’t French, who can shake a result off like that, their team is mentally farked now.

Still hoping this result means we get Japan in the 1/4 - although looking like Ireland is more likely.

we have to win all our games once we get out of pool play, be it Ireland, Scotland, Samoa or Japan, it makes zero difference who it is.
