Could go here or could go in the morality thread. Since, it's US focused, I'll put it here.
Very very very small minority of crazy nazis in the states, but they are there, and they are crazy.

Thanks for posting. But what a bloody painful propaganda piece of crap It is almost cliche in the facile and ignorant left wing assertions it makes (happy to give examples)... but then it is Rolling Stone so I knew what to expect. And i like read opposing views to test my views.
I do find it I interesting in one important way... and I am guessing thst was your point in posting it. It is in the way that the victim culture and oppresion Olympics has migrated to young white males. Identity politics relies on splitting people into groups. ... friction is sure to follow.
This is going to get ugly. -
Welp...
Mueller’s Tough Week in Court
Judges in Virginia and Washington have the special counsel reeling.
Well sure, we filed an indictment. And yeah, we took a victory lap in the big bells-n-whistles Main Justice press conference. But that doesn’t mean we, like, intended to have a trial . . .
That seems to be the Justice Department’s position on its mid-February publicity stunt, the indictment of 13 Russians and three Russian businesses for interfering in the 2016 election.
Let’s back up. [...]

It’s so painfully small that when they hold a public rally, you can count three reporters and photographers for every participant. It’s pitiful. They seek attention, and the news media is only too happy to oblige and spread their toxic message. You could be forgiven for thinking they’re in a dance with each other, both wilful particpants, and that it’s all by design.

The KKK are everywhere! 5000 members strong! That's like, 0.0015% of the population!

No comments about the Iran deal being torpedoed? Thumbs up from me on that one.
-
@rancid-schnitzel I actually know bugger all about this one and haven't had the time to read up on it...still everything else the Don has done has turned to gold so don't know why this should be any different
He seems to be doing pretty well on campaign promises.

Anybody else think it just a coincidence that less than an hour after Trump pulled the plug on that Iran deal, Israel launched missiles at an Iranian military base in Syria? (I don’t.) More Israeli missiles hitting Damascus today; and just now Iran is retaliating firing missiles into Israel. This is lookin’ scary...

Umm, about that massive “Blue Wave” coming in November...
The Democrats' lead in generic congressional ballot has now shriveled from 16 points to 3.
CNN poll: Democrats' 2018 advantage is nearly gone

Perhaps the best thing I've read from the NY Times in quite some time.
I don't disagree with the general point of the article but it is an example of the very behaviour it is describing.
Grouping all 'Liberals' with the vocal minority that push arguments past their natural point of reason.
As it correctly points out, many people (conservative or liberal) sit around the middle ground and are open to persuasion but will also push back when faced with being lumped together with extreme examples.
It may seem like liberals are one voice, but just like conservatives a big group are simply pushing back against being labelled along with the smaller number of unthinking idiots. -
Someone lacks self awareness.
"Former first lady Michelle Obama on Saturday again criticized the role of women in electing President Donald Trump, suggesting that his victory showed a lack of women's empowerment."
So it was OK when your husband beat a woman but not Trump. Makes perfect sense.

They also have a strong voice in mainstream left of centre parties. Other "liberals" might feel upset being lumped in with this lot but they're the ones who indulged this shit and refused to push back. It was all about the side and never about the principle. It was and is a kneejerk defence of their side without considering the consequences. Well those farking chickens are certainly coming home to roost. Well done.

If the video gets released it could be incredibly telling.
