President Joe Biden was speaking at the National Safer Communities Summit in Connecticut, calling for tougher gun control laws when he seemingly confused the audience by closing his speech with the phrase "God Save the Queen".

To think those around him are supporting his bid for another four years. One wonders at the scale of graft and corruption to continue with this travesty.

Well, it's looking like 6 years of Biden or 2 more followed by 4 of Trump.
Unless one of them dies mid-campaign.

I can imagine Biden calling the next British PM Rishi Starmer.
Probably one of the few things he'll get right.

Biden and his build back better nightmare (along possibly with WW3) would be a disaster for the US and all the countries on this path.
Trump might slow it down. At least he knows or should by now how rotten the US is. So might make less mistakes than last time.

Or perhaps double down.

Hunter Biden has agreed to plead guilty to criminal tax violations and reached a deal with prosecutors over a separate firearm offence, just days after his father Joe Biden held the first rally of his 2024 presidential campaign.

Ending university admissions based on skin color is "further entrenching racial inequality in education" apparently - even though the people most affected are non-white (Asians).
Sometimes you can just despair about the US.

The practice is alive and well in NZ universities....

Yes, you can despair about some of the idiotic remarks, but at least they have actually gone and changed something.
This practice continues unabated in NZ and won't change. -

This practice continues unabated in NZ and won't change. Is this actually a problem? Nz universities accept almost anyone compared to universities across the world. I can see how it could be problematic in some programs but overall I can't see this being anywhere near the problem of the private universities in the states (or even across Asia).
