Ah UK policing priorities. In the last couple weeks there have been two very telling videos in regards to this. One had a guy pull a police woman from her car as though she was nothing before taking it over, the 2nd had two police being overcome by 3 youths, one of which did a very effective flying kick to incapacitate the female officer.
I hate to say it but with an out of control crime rate Britain needs more men not less, and by men I mean those that can pass a physical test at a decent level.
Utter madness. Reminds me of what happened at the White House when some nutter hurled the fence, overpowered the female Secret Service agent and actually got to the WH. "Equality" is all fun and games until someone gets badly hurt or worse. Unless these women are physical specimens like the Islandic crossfitters (who are likely on the roids) then a 50% target is idiotic.
They aren’t on steroids. Also, even they aren’t that strong. I remember being shocked comparing their lifts to my own a few years ago.
An old, short, not that strong guy like me will still give them trouble. The average physical strength difference between the sexes makes those sort of targets pretty dangerous. For the cops and the public they have to protect.
I wouldn't be so sure about that, but you're right about general strength. The difference is pretty massive.
Has this bullshit permeated into firefighting as well? I wouldn't fancy my chances if I was on a higher level and the person sent to rescue me was a woman who couldn't even carry my eldest son let alone me. Shit, it's not even about gender it's about having the right physical attributes for the job. You wouldn't want to be rescued by a Sheldon looking dude either.

@rancid-schnitzel you and your fireman fantasies.

I've been to a few political events here where the riot police have been in full force and these have included 5ft nothing petite girls in riot gear...basically they are just walking liabilities putting both the public and their colleagues at risk..as I would be if I joined. I understand the same madness is permeating through the armed forces now too with different fitness standards as well as tour lengths required. Equality of outcome over equality of opportunity. I'm sure China and Russia are laughing their asses off.

Farking hell. It looks like Tyrion Lannister in full armour. Even the most malnourished soy boy could charge straight through her. Having her on the line would be like packing a scrum with DMac as prop.

@rancid-schnitzel There was another one about the same size also. Basically just a child playing dressup

Presidential Commission on the Assignment of Women in the Armed Forces (report date November 15, 1992, published in book form by Brassey's in 1993): "The average female Army recruit is 4.8 inches shorter, 31.7 pounds lighter, has 37.4 fewer pounds of muscle, and 5.7 more pounds of fat than the average male recruit. She has only 55 percent of the upper-body strength and 72 percent of the lower-body strength… An Army study of 124 men and 186 women done in 1988 found that women are more than twice as likely to suffer leg injuries and nearly five times as likely to suffer [stress] fractures as men."
"The Commission heard an abundance of expert testimony about the physical differences between men and women that can be summarized as follows:
"Women's aerobic capacity is significantly lower, meaning they cannot carry as much as far as fast as men, and they are more susceptible to fatigue.
"In terms of physical capability, the upper five percent of women are at the level of the male median. The average 20-to-30 year-old woman has the same aerobic capacity as a 50 year-old man."
"Lt Col. William Gregor, United States Army, testified before the Commission regarding a survey he conducted at an Army ROTC Advanced Summer Camp on 623 women and 3540 men. Evidence Gregor presented to the Commission includes:
"(a) Using the standard Army Physical Fitness Test, he found that the upper quintile of women at West point achieved scores on the test equivalent to the bottom quintile of men.
"(c) Only 21 women out of the initial 623 (3.4%) achieved a score equal to the male mean score of 260.
"(d) On the push-up test, only seven percent of women can meet a score of 60, while 78 percent of men exceed it.
"(e) Adopting a male standard of fitness at West Point would mean 70 percent of the women he studied would be separated as failures at the end of their junior year, only three percent would be eligible for the Recondo badge, and not one would receive the Army Physical Fitness badge."
Has this bullshit permeated into firefighting as well?
It's got as far as the Australian Army.

Why don't they just make obesity illegal?
On that one hand big is beautiful, but apparently drastic measures have to be implemented to stop people being fat. Can these fuckers ever be consistent on anything?

To be fair he is very consistent when it comes to not tackling actual crime

Yeah, nah.
Is it still a crime if I spout hate speech in a language other than English?
Physical crimes matter not what culture or ethnicity I am, but what if I abuse you in Thai and you understand nothing of what I say?
...
Good god, isn't it all nonsense?... and I do not welcome being lectured at by 20 somethings aggressively demanding that I meet their expectations - expectations borne of inferior education, deliberately subjective coaching by the increasingly uninformed teaching non-profession, little understanding of independent enquiry, no life experience and the most nakedly bigoted attitude to people not like them.

Do you reckon the blonde is a tranny like the creature with the assymetric haircut?
-
Funny that - the "creature with the assymetric haircut " put me off right from the jump!
Dunno about the blonde. It's a good disguise if he/she/it is.
They have all been trained to gaze directly at the camera in a confrontational manner - I can confirm from the result of numerous field tests over many years that a half step forward generates a full step backwards and sees that expression disappear like a puff of smoke ; and that when that move is augmented by a half raised hand and pointing finger it is instantly replaced by a look of utter bewilderment and uncertainty.
They find that sort of thing ... well ... somewhat discomforting, menacing.

Yeah , they also want an excuse to call you some sort of name based on something you say so a blank stare straight at their face is also rather off putting for them .
The blonde could be I guess , asymmetric haircut for sure . Classic case of “ society doesn’t accept me for who I am “ when in fact people judge it ifor a ridiculous hairstyle, haughty attitude and much the same nose ring as my old man used to give our piglets to try and stop them destroying our orchard ( it didn’t work).
