Terrible timing and optics.
Paterson and his supporters seem to have a very good case - the process looks unfair and there appears to be bias in the system - but this is a crass way of dealing with it.

Yep. What they have announced seems sensible and the sort of thing that should have happened in the first place.

A bit of light relief...

Not sure Boris is going to get his way out if this one ….
You never know, he’s been the Teflon boy so far…
However, heads should roll on this one. We’ll see I guess.

The question is who would succeed him? It's too early to play the Rishi card I reckon. He's gotta be lined up as the poster boy going into the next election.

Boris is here for the duration of this government. My guess is he will watch the way the wind is blowing and jump ship if it looks anywhere near dodgy for him. If it’s not too close to call he may well stay on and it would be unlikely that there would be much opposition to this in the Tory party. Different scenario though if his popularity is waning in relation to whichever mongtard is running the Labour Party.

Fuck the video clip is like something out of The Thick Of It

@mikethesnow so many questions (which are probably answered by articles I'm not reading).
A - what the fuck is wrong with those knobs?
B - why the fuck were they recording it?
3 - why the fuck didn't they delete the recording?
& - how the fuck did the recording get out? -

Buckle up, car crash TV at its finest
-
@mikethesnow It's fuckin idiotic.
But FairPlay to Hancock for going on the TV. Everybody else cancelled all their appointments.
I don't know who any of the people are, but if they aren't elected officials (which I don't believe they are) then it's quite obvious they are toast.
It does seem quite clear there was a party. But who was attending doesn't seem to be very clear at all .... Can't see how a party could happen without Boris knowledge.

Maybe it was such a good party that even if Boris was there he can't remember any of it?
However, I am not convinced the concerned parties would be competent enough to organize a party where nobody can actually remember said party because it was so darned good.

According to The Times, it was a small, unofficial private gathering organised via WhatsApp and 20-30 people turned up impromptu.
Problem is people in the media foam at the mouth with BoJo and lose perspective so it's hard to separate the facts from the hysteria. E.g. the BBC and others predicted he'd have to resign over the No. 10 Flat refurb funding and were certain he had lied, but it turned out he'd followed official advice to the letter - it was the advice that was wrong.

What a bloody appalling interview. Car crash TV alright, but what awful interviewers. They weren’t interested in the slightest in delving into the truth, just wanting to catch out Hancock in any way possible. Is it any wonder no one else was prepared to be interviewed?
Still great to watch if rather cringeworthy.
