His post Monkees career was so much more interesting. His early 70's country records are really good.
Agreed. I also like some of his later stuff- his album "The Newer Stuff" was pretty fun and I had on high rotation on my walkman in the early 90's

During this time, Nesmith created a video clip for "Rio", which helped spur Nesmith's creation of a television program called PopClips for the Nickelodeon cable network. In 1980, PopClips was sold to the Time Warner/Amex consortium. Time Warner/Amex developed PopClips into the MTV network.[citation needed]

Another still young former rugby player cut down in the prime of his life, Taniela Moa.

"Auckland Rugby would like to acknowledge the sad passing of Taniela Moa.
Taniela had 58 caps in the Blue and White Hoops winning two NPC titles with the Union. Taniela also went on to represent Tonga on 20 occasions.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to the Moa family at this time." -
