    @donsteppa 🙂

    Mitch Jr. will be dispatched over the boundary with similar velocity and regularity as Neesh and Phillips!

    @no-quarter Exactly.

    Muddle our way into the semis and then win two tosses, bowl the opposition out cheaply and run down their tallies losing no more than two wickets!

    There you go Stead - should be all you need. A double-headed coin and lots of luck! 🙂

    A deflected overthrow to beat England in the SF will be a good start!

    Then we should probably get Finn Allen into the side as a specialis.... oh... never mind 🙂

    @donsteppa Mitch Jr. probably earned his place vs India - though his innings on TV was a bit less fluent than I was expecting after reading the commentary.

    Right now, you wouldn't mind having Finn in the squad.

    How? It wasn't even that hot or humid by Indian or Australian standards, let alone normal Dubai standards?

    Australia thumped the Bangles overnight - and then Sri Lanka upset the Windies and has "sent them homeward tae think again".

    South Africa has to thump England, or sneak home and hope the Windies can tip over the Australians.

    If I were the Aussies, I'd be a bit concerned about the Windies suddenly coming right. Given how stacked their batting line-up looks (Dwayne Bravo coming in at 10) they've been massively disappointing - though the toss hasn't favoured them.

    We have the Namibians tonight. It would be handy to give them a good drubbing. According to my calculation - if we could bowl them out for 60, we'd only have to get the runs in about 10 overs to get our run-rate above the Afghans.

    It's irrelevant though isn't it? If they beat us they go through over us?

    (If Afghanistan beat us I mean. Run rate won't matter?)

    I think the tie breaker if points are level is only on net run rate, not 'who beat who'. Afghanistan have had two losses so far.

    We'll most likely be in a three-way tie with Afghanistan and India. I presume that gets settled on net run rate.

    NZ just needs to win out so we go through in 2nd behind Pakistan with only the one loss. Then NRR won't be a factor.
