Thought that was a pretty good test. Almost MOTM for me was almost Jason Ryan, or whoever got the forwards winning front foot ball again.. Of players there were plenty of good uns, but I really thought Sam Whitelock had a huge game, along with Scott Barrett and Shannon Frizzel they gave some shoulder that the Boks felt. Savea continues to amaze me. Generally all backs went ok, but had good front foot ball and would hope they would. All in all pretty satisfying perfromance.

Yeah kudos to the players and coaches, a gazillion times better than our other win this year and I really didn't think they had it in them.

I'm left with this niggling thought though.... just where was that desire, drive and want the last half a dozen tests?

The ref, Luke Pearce, was brilliant and must be a likely candidate to do the next RWC final if England are not involved.

Probably there but with a collective loss of confidence & too much pressure. Maybe Havili's kick in the first minute set the scene and gave them some confidence early on.

Only one game though and we've been here before. Pumas will be a stiff Test as they seem to tearing the Wobblies a new tonight.

Yeah. Some real dog on show and improvements all over the park. Forwards, attack and defence all way better. Real "monkey off the back" win. Fingers crossed they can build on that against what looks a good Argie side.

Fozzie did say he felt something special was brewing.

I wouldn't go as fast as saying that was a special performance except in the context of the last 5 weeks.

That, to me was more reminiscent of an AB performance bouncing back after a loss.

Were patches where the ghosts of the past couple of months returned, but by and large, one of the better 80 mins of the past couple of years.

Will it be a stay of execution for Fozzie, who knows, but if he and his coaching team can get a forward performance like that more often, we might just start that climb back toward #1

ABs didn't bounce back against France after loss to Ireland last Nov. They didn't bounce back after loss to Ireland in Test 2 of series.

This is the first time they have bounced back. Difference? Plumtree out, Ryan in. A more simplified game plan. And a desire on show that has been missing. Question is, is Foster capable of getting this performance out of the players consistently? If answer is no, he needs to move on. The players are there.

Should be no shortage of motivation. Cheika is coach 😁

@Daffy-Jaffy I watched with SA commentary - they were pretty good, very even handed.

Well, I hope so, but one swallow a summer doth not make. It was interesting to hear the players keep saying "it's disappointing as it's almost there" for the last few Tests but it definitely was there today so hopefully the mojo is back.

Perhaps it was the coaching changes - Ryan with the forwards and Foster doing attack - but the D was way better too so perhaps it gelled together.

Agreed. I generally like the Saffa commentary and Stransky is great as the comment bloke. Very fair and knowledgeable
