That’s what we get for having an “outsider” President. As crazy as his talk is, guaranteed large swathes of this country literally believe everything that comes out of his mouth. He has damaged the democratic process for decades to come.
It is basically a win-win for Trump. Even if ardent supporters find themselves no better off under him than Obama, he's got a conga line of targets for them to blame. Mexicans, immigrants, Muslims, Democrats.... Immigrant Mexican Muslim Democrats...
Yuge.

Why, so Twitter and Facebook can ‘censure’ them?
More in terms of the conduct of the Trump family and cronies now versus litigation they may face once he's out of office.
Not that I think much will come of it, as the rich tend to get away with stuff, and he's banked a fair bit since Trump Resorts became the venue-of-choice for government shindigs.
I recall reading somewhere that while some Trump Resort revenues had increased others had taken big hits and were effectively being subsidised. Overall picture is another Trump business failure that will be great for tax purposes but not so much for empire building.
Mind you he left his two idiot sons in charge of the till so all will turn out fine. -

Not to mention people that had the audacity to not see how great he is and voted for that other guy. They're the worst. Some say the worst ever.

But, thinking it is bad precedent, to chase those too hard after they leave office. In case it incentives someone one day to decide they wont leave office, if it is safer for them and family to stay in at all costs.
I don't think anyone can overturn the 2-term maximum but who knows?
Your point is valid tho, in terms of prosecution post-office. That seems unlikely as the GOP will still hold a fair bit of power and might make that a negotiating point with the Dems.
I can't see the term limits being changed, constitutional amendments are very difficult to pass as they require 3/4 of state legislatures to vote in favour.

In PA Trumps lead has shrunk further but I'm expecting him to just scrape in with Biden being 10k short.
Trump must have cheated I guess.Actually I may have miscalculated here. According to the numbers I am looking at Biden will make the deficit in Philly alone. He has plenty to come from Delaware County (currently 67%)
Maybe he was the cheat? To hard to tell.

@Crucial Yeah Biden is going to win PA, if the current trends continue:
If Biden continues to take 76% of the mail-in votes, he will poll about 160,000 of the remaining 215,000, which will give him more than enough to erase the 53,000 vote deficit.
And there seems to be other votes from Philly and surrounds still to come in, too.

@Virgil said in US Politics:
More and more are calling out the fact that most of the mail in votes are Dems because Trump told his followers over and over and over not to vote that way.
At a loss to how anyone can defend his actions at the moment.
And the fact that the Dems clearly were much more concerned about the pandemic and as such avoided in-person voting in favour of a mail-in option. A small child can see why things are unfolding the way they are.
If the outstanding states counted their votes like Florida (pre the closing of polls on Tuesday) then this would all look very different.

I see here in little ole NZ after the final counts and tallies that Labour have gained 2 seats off National
I’m expecting Judith to do a press conference very soon where she declares it’s all been one big fraud and the Nats were cheated out of a winThere's a bit of chatter about it on social media unfortunately, has been since election day.

After 4 years I still can't make my mind up how much is deliberte and how much is because he is thick and fails to even try and understand basic information
I don't think he's thick but I don't think he's all that bright. With his start in life and all the other advantages that he has enjoyed I'd expect a sizeable minority if not majority would have been able to do more with their lives.
What he has in spades is small man's disease which contributes to his demagoguery. What he has discovered is that if you lie outrageously enough a lot of people will believe it because it must be true. Helped by total conviction because he believes his own falsehoods.
I guess when you are surrounded by sycophants and assorted hangers on its hard not to believe in your own omnipotence and that the universe does truly revolve around your rug anointed head. Double down by factoring in the fear engendered by his bellicose bullying and vindictiveness and you have a very potent brew.
He is irredeemable and is proving it for all bar the (large number of) true believers.
This has been on the cards for months. Everyone could see it coming. He certainly got his excuses in early enough. The only hope to avoid all the rancour and violence that's bout to erupt was that the Democrats won big. Then they chose Biden.....

Just reminder about the rules. The rules are more strict in here because at several times over the years it became a cesspool in here
Most of these were added when some pro Trump people were spamming and/or acting like dicks
https://www.forum.thesilverfern.com/topic/1737/politics-sub-forumThere's been a crazy amount of playing the man not the ball which has been deleted. That shit is toxic and makes the whole forum unpleasant.
Oh and I agree with @Kirwan there's no need to relitigate every tedious controversy over the last few years. There's enough currently happening isn't there??
