@canefan could be, the pram one is staffed by teenagers who seem more interested in chatting to their mates. I haven't tried the Poririua one but given the locals appetite for fried chicken I'd say they have an awesome turnover.

Turangi Burger king and Paraparaumu burger king would be two of the filthiest fast food places I've been to. I'm not surprised the Pram one closed down, I didn't go in their much but every time I did the floor was sticky with filth and the kids playground looked like pretty rank.

A Zinger Tower burger is the staple motorway services meal for me and the missus on every road trip here in the UK. I think its the turnover thing again as they are always hot, fresh and fkn awesome, even when sober!

Heathens. Ain't nowt better on an early hungover morning than a fridge mac. A pocket burger (cheese) never goes unwelcome at the end of a big night too.

Nah nothing better when in the UK than hitting the Kebab shop at the end of the night.

    Always order two

Always wake up in the morning with the second unopened in the bottom of your jacket pocket sitting proudly on a sea of congealed fat.

    Brekkie time!

@Mokey I have no idea how anyone can over cook KFC, the way they do it means that if they are overcooking it, they and half the people working there are pretty damn shit cos everyone in the shop can hear when a basket is ready to come out of the oil.

The more greasy stuff is usually the fresh stuff, as the warmers they keep them in have water to keep it moist but they lose a lot of the oil they are cooked in.

I haven't had KFC for years, but I get that same remorse everyone else does, it smells so good, you eat it, then after you feel all bleh...do like the Zinger burgers though.

Kebabs are awesome, have a good shop in town, have one most weeks, don't seem anywhere near as unhealthy as the ones I had in the UK though.

@jegga Hamilton Central Burger King used to be ok, but now it is dirty, the service is shocking (slow and rude), and the food is either cold or dried out as fuck.

A few of the Hungry Jacks/BKs here went the same after the original franchisee sold it on for profit. The new managers are typically from overseas and training + retention isn't their strong suit.

A mate of mine is on holiday in Japan at the moment - he just told me about MOSDO - a combined MOS Burger / Mister Donut store. I wee'd in my pants a little when I saw this

The savory burger is the “Curly” Chorizo, which is spicy chorizo sausage, MOS chili sauce, lettuce and tomato on a French Cruller donut. The dessert burger is the Berry Chocolate, a French Cruller topped with a crispy chocolate disk, mixed berries, strawberry whipped cream and mango sauce.

Worst thing about KFC in the states when we were in Hawaii in 2014 - no chips. Instead, there was a ''biscuit'' which was actually a really shitty scone.

KFC in Poland is fucking great. Except their chips, while perfectly cooked, were like MacDonalds fries, not the KFC chips we know and love.

It was in the middle of a three-week bender, but I was sober at the time, so I remember it intently..

    Here's an example.

McDonald's in Taiwan had a cheap chicken and sweetcorn soup that was actually really tasty. But the Pizza Hut pizzas had sweetcorn bits on them which was rather random.

Suddenly ... it all makes a lot more sense.

@Mokey I hope they were just one off junk food cravings rather than a case of ignoring Korean cuisine

I had a pizza in Buenos Aires that had lettuce and sliced radishes (cooked) as part of the topping

@dogmeat Huh, that's odd. My breakfast kebab was usually sitting on my pillow half eaten, spilling its contents everywhere.

Anyway if you're doing UK kebab shop at the end of the night, the only way to go is doner meat and chips, covered in burger sauce. I used to love going for a walk on Sundays and following the trail of that shit back to town.
