@majorrage I have no idea who Bobcat is, but I can guess by the most annoying character...and after consulting with uncle Google, I is correct.

Transformers: The Last Knight
The camera doesnt stay on any one scene for longer than about 2 seconds. This goes on for about 3 hours. The eye soon gives up, says fuck you to the brain, which gives up attempting to process, resulting in a big no sorry to Marky Mark and his Funky Bunch. Bit sad really cos they really tried with the whole Merlin/Knights of Round Table narrative bollocks. Plus the exorbitant special effects ffs. 16% on RT. All that hectic shit and you compare it to, say, 2001 A Space Odyssey, where not a single thing happens for minutes at a time. Come to think of it, would mind watching this Marky Mark effort playing at 1/10th of the intended speed while on drugs. 1/10th the speed so it goes for 30 hours. With the sound muted, and some quiet doom metal playing in the background.
Did you manage to watch it all? I lasted about 30 minutes. Absolute donkeys balls.

@rocky-rockbottom I haven't even seen it! I thought the first Transformers was a heap of fun, especially
But they just got worse and worse. The second is shit, and even upping the slutty on Fox didn't work. Then the third was barely watchable bullshit, and i stopped right there (Rosie Hunntington-Whitely with her massive lips and flat chest was not an acceptable Megan Fox substitute). I think that means i have missed two of them? Who knows.
The original Transformers animated movie is still the pinnacle.

Police Academy 3 - still has it's funny parts, Guttenberg is quite the comedic actor. Alot of the comedy hasn't stood the test of time, especially Winslow, who just comes across really really lame. But you knew what you here getting into when watching. Bobcat Goldthwaite is just fucking annoying though
3 Sweetchucks out of 5 Hightowers
Police Academy 4 - hasn't stood the test of time at all. And there's even more Bobcat. Mahoney has a few moments and Sharon Stone is worth a look. David Spade is a young skateboarder, mental.
1.5 Procters out of 5 Blue Oysters
From memory the first two are ok then they descend into absolute shit.

The mrs is into her trail walking and anything that’s a big challenge ( she’s done a couple of 100km Oxfam trail walks in recent years)
She heard about this ultra marathon over in the states called the Barkley’s Marathon. It’s had a doco made about it on Netflix called “The Race that Eats it’s Young “
Fuck me you would have to mad to take this on. It’s basically 5 x loops of a course that you never find out about until the day before the race starts, the loop is around 26 miles ( a full Marathon) but the elevation you climb is around 12,000 feet. It’s through the worse terrain you can imagine. There’s no check points except when you complete each loop. Only 40 can enter and most years no one ever finishes. Been going over 30 years and to date only around 15 or so have completed it.
Well worth the watch -

@virgil I think this guy was trying to do the three lap "fun run" version!
‘Fun run’ indeed, that’s only 3 x loops
I read the 2018 Barkley was completed with no one being able to finish the full race.
Not surprising given how tough it is, more on the side of how the organisers play with the entrants minds -

It’s nuts alright, the total elevation you end up covering is equivalent to climbing Mt Everest!
You couldn’t even properly prepare for it as you would have no idea on the course.
The wife would give it a shot in a heartbeat if she could.
Having been part of her support for 2 x 100km trail walks I’m a bit unsure about this one.. -
hmmmmm

I was looking at that trailer today. I'm a Queen fan so will watch it once it's released to video. This is certainly going to be a different movie (and likely a more sanitized version) to the one that Sacha Baron Cohen would have starred in.

I saw a Howard Stern interview with Cohen, the version he was offered had Freddie die halfway through the movie, the rest being about Queen after that.
I don’t think we missed much from that screenplay.

The other difference was how much of Freddie's lifestyle was included.

Yeah I suspect SBCs version woulda included a shitload more arse banditry.
Whether Freddie did this in real life or not.
Never much of a Queen fan but I suspect the Mrs will make me watch this in exchange for me dragging her to Solo.
