I liked it. My son has been going through them all again after Infinity Wars.

Mind you, I’ve always liked Tilda Swindon since The Beach, hair or no hair.

Best two on rewatch so far are Winter Soldier and Civil War. They really hold up.

yea, i didn't mind Dr Strange at all, it was harmless.

Winter Soldier is really high on my Marvel scale.

I watched Spiderman again on the weekend, it's still an enjoyable comic book movie

Appalling movie. I’ve seen it maybe five or six times. It’s so bad, when it comes on TV I can’t pull myself away. A real trainwreck and guilty pleasure.

    Excalibur. end. of. discussion.

Moody, atmospheric, fantastic soundtrack and a mid 30's Helen Mirren naked.

Who cares if the plots a bit clunky?

She's older than my Mum so therefore disgusting

That maybe so. But head back in the Delorean and young Ms Mirren was quite tidy

OK so we recently got Litebox and Netflix working at out place and Mrs Hooroo has been just watching any ole thing.

    Last night we watched Ibiza

It is not good! In saying that I laughed a couple of times and found myself liking the some of the music

1 oinst oinst oinst out of 5 drugged up seppos.

The Netflix made movies are a bit 50/50, I generally watch them due to laziness - can't be bothered leaving the couch to get a download theatrically released movie, but some are quite good and some are terrible.

    Doctor Strange

What is it about visually stunning movies being such loads of unwatchable shit nowadays?

Admittedly I'm not the biggest Marvel fan but this was just awful. Lame gags, stupid over the top CGI action, an ugly bald woman, convoluted dialogue, even Mads Mikkelson couldn't save this mess.

I was expecting TLJ standard but actually quite liked this. And I say that as someone who hates Bendthebitch Cumberbund and weird arse skeletor face who for some inexplicable reason Leonardo ploughed despite being together with French goddess (The Beach - a shit film all round).

The only worse movie decision than that was when Mel Gibson knew exactly what women wanted and instead spent the movie dusting up Helen Hunt.

The 12th Man - true story of Norwegian Jan Baalsrud who spent almost 10 weeks evading the Nazis in the Norwegian snow. Is a subtitled movie.

While you know how it ends, it holds your attention with suspense and told with Jan maintaining a sense of humour despite his dire predicament.

4 Nazi cnuts out of 5 near misses

edit: I believe his story has been told before, but by all accounts, this one is a more accurate version (but who really knows??) with Jan believing he was not the hero of the story, but all those who helped him along the way.

wonder what of this movie plot Nicholas Cage thought, "I'll do this, it's a winner" as opposed to, "a new movie, yep, I'll do it, whats it about?"

Bank heist movie in the vein of "End of Watch" meets "Black Hawk Down".

Who has seen those two movies and came up with bank heist? That is nuts.

Nicholas Cage thinks how much money will they pay me so I can pay down my debts.

    Revenge

Insanely hot young chick goes with bloke she is having an affair with on a boys trip ( why was she there ? Was he showing off to His ugly less charismatic mates? ) one of his mates rapes her, she threatens to tell main blokes wife and they try to kill her to shut her up and she somehow survives a 200 foot drop and being impaled on a big stick to take revenge.

I don't think I've ever seen a collection of movie characters who are this hard to kill ( helps make to movie longer ) and there is a ridiculous amount of claret. I think this chick could take Rambo, John Matrix and Chuck Norris all at once.

Such a load of bullshit but somehow reasonably fun.

Deadpool 2, very enjoyable plenty of unexpected moments including one very early on.
Maybe lacks the charm of the first but that’s to be expected of a sequel.

What I find funny re: Deadpool (aside from most of the movies) is that on a few of the podcasts I've listened to some critics have complained that it does nothing new and recycle's the old jokes, while others complain that it tried a different approach (darker) and they should have stuck to the original pattern. Bahaha.

The weather is utter balls here in Sydney (it's gone the full Palmerston North this week), so I'm going to go watch it again today.

Saw Cargo, thought it was really good. I'd already seen the short film so knew where it was going but some genuine edge-of-your-seat moments.
