The All Blacks squad for Argentina and South Africa is:
    FORWARDS
    -Coltman, Harris, Taylor

    • Franks, Perry, Ta’avao, Tu’inukuafe, Tuungafasi
    • S. Barrett, Tuipulotu, S. Whitelock,
    • Cane, Fifita, Frizell, Hemopo, Read, Savea & L. Whitelock
      BACKS
    • Perenara, A. Smith, Tahuriorangi
    • B. Barrett, McKenzie, Mo’unga
    • Crotty, Goodhue, Lienert-Brown, Williams
      -J. Barrett, Ioane, Milner-Skudder, Naholo & B. Smith
      NOTE
Captain Kieran Read won’t travel to Argentina
“We always had a plan to manage Kieran’s long haul travel this year, following his return to rugby after back surgery, so he’ll miss the trip to Argentina and re-join the squad in South Africa for the Test against the Springboks.” - ABs coach Steve Hansen

Geez thought Fifita had no show after his comments.

Still, he did a great job of trampling the Argies underfoot last year

Fifita covers 8 now? Or is Frizell covering 8, with Fifita replacing Squire?

Patrick McKendry in the the Herald:

The All Blacks starting loose forwards against Argentina a week on Sunday are likely to consist of Shannon Frizell – probably at No 8 – Jackson Hemopo and Sam Cane. Frizell and Hemopo have three tests between them.

Vaea Fifita, back in the fold as Read's replacement is an option to start ahead of Hemopo but will probably be named on the reserves bench.

Outside Read and Cane our loosies are by far the biggest weakness in our team.
The continued non selection of Todd doesn't help.
    Fifita FFS.

Even Cane has not been that great last few tests, not his normal dominant self.

Yeah it's bizarre, hard to say as a Canes fan, but Fafita and NMS shouldn't be in the squad. Akira (he's an 8 FFS, we've got two other so called 6's) and Mr A N Other awesome young and FAST NZ winger (take your pick)

I find it surprising that L Whitelock won't start at no.8 when he was used in the French series when Read was injured.

If he doesn't, why the fuck is he in the squad?

Do you mean you 'would find it surprising'?

The team hasn't been named yet....(when is that by the way?)

I reckon it'll be Whitelock at 8, for experience, in leadership and internationals both. They'll have a raw 6 of Frizzle or Hemopo, I really can;t see both starting

@crucial Basing my comment on what McKendry said, assuming he is correct.
