Just started watching SAS Who Dares Wins. Season 3 popped up in YouTube, one of my pilot buddies brother is on the staff. So a bunch of civvies get beasted in a SF way, to see if they have the right stuff. All drama, so far - but funny how quick some people fall out with a bit of Physical and mental stress, & 'disassociation of expectation' - the real mental killer.

@Machpants yeah you hear plenty of stories about guys in thier 'prime' and in amazing shape physically, but once things start to get tough and you have to push through, these guys simply cant cut it.

If you haven’t seen the Fyre documentary on Netflix this clip should convince you

Watched Fyre last night and it was hilarious. A confidence trickster who fooled a bunch of weak minded image obsessed clowns.

Apart from this bloke and Mr Weinstein.

He didn’t last long did he? My heart went out to the woman in charge of the catering who lost her life savings.

I read that some kind-hearted souls crowdfunded her and raised quite a bit. Never sure that the money actually gets to the end recipient - seems an easy way to get people to give you cash under the guise of helping someone social media is aware of...

Just finished watching the Ted Bundy tapes on Netflix
Knew a lot about this guy growing up, but holy fuck the guy is equal parts fucked up and equal parts fucking scary
If you passed him in the street or had dealings with him you would have no idea he likes to sneak into girls dorm rooms club them to death and rape them( in that order).
The 70s must have been a scary time for Americans, you had this fucker going from state to state destroying any white early 20s woman that caught his eye
As well as John Wayne Gacy ( the clown guy), Hillside strangler, Green River Miller, Son of Sam, and Zodiac was still out there too.

@Virgil Just finished it last night too. Unbelieveable how it all played out, thank Christ technology has moved forward so far that this should never happen again. Terrifying the number of women in support of him.

My wife was watching it and made the point it must have been so easy to get away with that type of criminal behaviour before DNA sequencing, integrated databases, etc.

Fucking hell, I knew the name but that's it. From Wiki "sometimes revisited his secondary crime scenes, grooming and performing sexual acts with the decomposing corpses until putrefaction and destruction by wild animals made further interaction impossible"

That's enough for me, don't need to watch a doco about that!

Not too mention the various law departments in each state never communicated with each other.
So easy to get away with shit then, he was only caught because he was seen driving suspiciously.

Finished the recent season of Vikings.

Was good, but felt it was a bit all over the show, particularly the Floki storyline that I thought was utterly pointless.

I didn’t think Floki could become boring but they managed it.

The last scrap was good though .

@jegga @taniwharugby Kind of avoiding your posts on Vokings as we have just started watching it.

We are up to Season 3 (Episode 9 or 10 I think)

What season is the latest season?

Season 3 is kind of the suckiest so far. (for me)

I think 5 is the current, three is a bit like season two of the walking dead. They revive it quite a bit in the next one so persevere with it.

Cheers will do. Still enjoying it. There really are some great characters in this series.

    @Hooroo yeah stick with it.

Cant recall exactly where you will be at, but like most long term series it does have a flat spot or dip, but as @jegga says, it climbs back up.

Latest series was for large parts good.

Speaking of TWD, anyone watched the latest series? Is it worth watching?

I've started the final series of Gotham, not happy with a character they killed...also had a look at The Orville that was mentioned elsewhere, looks decent in first few eps.

I'll vouch for that and I haven't even felt the urge to kill anyone.....

Well maybe a few urges but I tend to worry about consequences.

Very little gore or sensationalist content. Worst of it was the skulls.

Was mainly an insight into how Bundy started to talk and how he viewed himself. He only really started being honest three days before his execution.

Was very interesting, particularly as a look back on how much technology has changed law enforcement. He basically was on TV in Florida as “Mystery Man” after he was well known on the west coast. They had no idea who they had.
