Just tribute watching the 2011 SF against Australia. Dagg was absolutely incredible that day - faultless on bombs, elusive and smart. Wonderful, wonderful memories.

    Massive boot on him too

Anyone got a clip of him scoring against South Africa in Johannesburg in 2010? Probably the most satisfying try I have watched.

Echo other posters thoughts, fantastic AB and a top bloke to boot (pun!).

I remember going into bat for him when that accountant started making a claim for the 15 jumper. Always thought his boot was an absolute weapon and when fit he was so dangerous with ball in hand.

One of the moments of his career for me was when he wore the black shirt again after missing the RWC15. I was just so happy for him at the time and it really spoke volumes of his attitude and character.

Go well Izzy, you've done us proud over the years.

How about the one rubbed out by the dodgy TMO interference in SA? That was classic home town bollocks

@Magpie_in_aus I don’t know why you’d add the biggest regret of his life to this thread of celebration. 😉

Oi! Some of us on the thread actually played with him in that side, and it was great (apart from losing to Victor Vito's Scots)

    Bugger.

Overriding memory of Izzy is one of those players who had touches of genius but always managed to put his team first and didn't do stupid shit on the field.

    Amazing he's the 2nd most-capped 15 in AB history. That's some achievement

    8 Hayman, 9 Cruden, 10 Dagg, 12 Ardie

The rest of the rugby world would just have to quit.

@Nepia I just didn't want to have to buy a new jersey and socks when I went to high school once I left Napier Tech. I also look good in red.
