Reds only have themselves to blame, all the ball in the world and did not make it count..
Only upside for this Reds team, with an average of 22 they are going to develop into a very good team moving forward..
Well done the chiefs, amazing defensive effort.

Chiefs just stopped playing with the ball in the second half. Their own worst enemy. But that said massive d. Parete has earned his stripes with a few injuries. But hats off to Boshier for his heads up plays when it mattered. Cane has real impact and it’s good to see him back and building.

    Big step down in class.

Izack Rodda is a good player.

    Yes, excellent work ethic.

TTT can’t posssibly make the all blacks squad, his passing is worse than Weber.

Be nice if he got some opportunity to practise.

@SammyC Rodda's very similar in style to his coach. Surely he has to be one of the Wallabies starting locks.

Well done Chiefs, great ticker shown to win.

Cane subbed seven minutes after a ten minute half time break = Super Coach Colin Cooper.

I would think that the training team know Cane's performance numbers and when to pull him at this stage. It was also probably a half time discussion thing and maybe a niggle.
Last thing anyone (Chiefs or ABs) needs is to thrash him on the comeback.

Cooper may not be an elite coach but he's not deserving of some of the shit being thrown his way this season.
The season start was atrocious but looked to be in the players' heads. The coaches and players have done a pretty good job all things considered to pull things together during a tough time.
I flushed the season a long time ago but it's good to see the team playing with pride and a few unheralded guys have really developed. Parete, Nankivell, MMac

Just watched the second half after being out for dinner.

    Faaaarking epic D.

Hard to believe that Qld could not win that with that weight of possession.

Who says a defensive game is boring?

    Where's my nitroglycerin spray????

Really? 80% possession and the best the yh can do is bash against a brick wall?

Bloody hell, that's a real gutsy win by the Chiefs. Vitrually nothing more than 10% of possession in the second half but they held their defensive line. Kind of like batting out the final day of a Cricket Test with only a couple of wickets in hand. Magnificant effort, well done Chiefs.

    Good analogy

Reading that the replay showed the last held up as worth a look as scored? That legit or bollocks?

    Bollocks

Reds would be going bonkers if it was down.

Looked well and truly held up.

Huh? I'm pretty sure you're smarter than that and haven't just come out of a 90s time capsule..

It's been common practice for years now for coaches to begin subbing shortly after half time, one big reason is it allows the replacement to warm up.

Can still feel a little sorry for them. But I think much of that has to do with BBBT being in charge. Terrible backline though.

55 minute mark, sure. Much earlier than that and I usually think the half time break has mostly been wasted.

What? More like 45 minute mark. How would that have been a waste of the half time break?

Well, blow me down. For the Etene-mumble mumble, the TMO got a replay that no-one else did. Looks a far better decision in hindsight... at the time I just shook my head.

@nzzp there was one replay last night that clearly showed seperation. I am pretty sure it was shown at the same time the commentator was saying "it's a try every day of the week".

That photo is after the grounding.
I saw possible separation on one of the replays but not clear and obvious. Even so the ball didn’t trace out of the hand toward the dead ball line so wasn’t a lost forward. It went straight down.
