I would rather bowl first, try to grab early wickets and see if the English collapse under pressure. Either way, just like against India our bowling unit has to slice through the top order for us to win.

The thing about our SF bowling display is that we bowled in the morning. Unusual for the side bowling second

England's and NZ's ODI records at Lords should give us some comfort. 🤞

England did just that in the SF too.... I think you are right, and it is what I wanted to do in 2015. I'm very conflicted 🤔

Have we had any predictions from tigers or lions or just any animals in general whenever there’s a World Cup final..?

Don’t know if it’s the same up Maida Vale way but a few drops of rain were felt as I just let the dog outside.
Light grey overcast sky with a little dampness to it.
Will probably burn off but should keep the pitch fresh

I've already had a big sleep in, then a siesta, then a kip, then dozed off on the couch for a bit.

    We got this.

Anybody happen to know a pub in Beijing that might be showing this?
BTW - will update the de-facto motorcycle thread at some point, when hangover wears off, but got into Beijing yesterday... 15,500 miles later - no offs. I hesitate to use the word "hero", but... feelin' like a fuckin' hero.

@Kruse If you have the "WeChat" app on your phone you can get a stream from Sporty.

@Tim Ah - cheers... but don't have WeChat - was meaning to get it, but I believe I need a local to "invite me" before I can install it?
Might just find a local pub, and cricinfo it. Unless/until it gets exciting, in which case I'll find some oleole-dot-tv type streams.

My head says England will win the World Cup..but heart wants NZ, common sense says England skipper Eion Morgan will lift the World Cup..

I've hit 3/3 top run scorer bets this cwc. Have back guppy. You should probably all jump on that.

I actually want us to bowl first - that way we can put their batsmen under pressure - also we haven't unleashed Lockie on them yet - I'd rather have us chase a known target than try and set one

Can’t wait for 9.30pm. Feel like a cat on a hot tin roof with anticipation, and I’m 19,000kms away. Can only imagine how much sleep some of the players didn’t get overnight...

no such thing as commonsense when it comes to WC Finals, go with your heart not your head!

I tipped against NZ in the SF. I have done the same for the final. Hoping for similar result 🙏

    I've changed my tune

Bowl first, jag an early one or two, and let the pressure and expectation do the rest

I've had a couple of beers. I've now cracked a ripper of a bottle of red. Could be a great night
