I haven't actually seen the game because I was shagging a blonde Norwegian lass and slept in. And she's a nurse. So really I don't give a flying fuck about rugby union world cups right now.

But congratulations to the boys for the great win. And to myself as well. Championship parade on Wednesday for all of us.

Its interesting in that way - you're going to lose a few experienced legends, while we have a shallower pool to pick from.

What I would like to see is Larkham in particular move the Brumbies away from Jakeball and get into Larkhamball. Guys like Lealiifano and Toomua are still suffering the stodge hangover from that era, when they could be so much better. Will be interesting to see what Cubelli adds to the Brumbies.

But that is a discussion for another time. I've now got to go find something to do, and we have no cat to kick.

Well played Wallabies. You got within 4 and appeared to apply good pressure.

Carters' droppy, and long range penalty was amazing.

Score perhaps flattering in the end but it just goes to show how important playing to the final whistle is.

Looking forward to a few celebratory drinks this arvo.

Trying to figure out what was going on our first attack position near Wallaby line, from back of ruck Aaron chucks ball that bounces off a surprised Whitelock at first receiver. Still not sure what that was about..

I'd also like to give a big thumbs up to Bernard (Nard) Foley who has put up with a lot of shit about him not being "World Class" and associated rubbish - most particularly from Quadeslanders in these parts.

I thought he handled all the pressure with real maturity, absolutely fisting England with 28 individual points, pulling off some superb tackles against Wales, and making the kicks required to take us deep into the competition. He may not be as naturally talented as some, but he uses every single fucking bit of what he has, and improving his goal kicking, general kicking, and passing game over the last two months immensely.

Tonight he made his kicks, helped guide his team around, and was part of a playmaking unit responsible for getting us within a shot of the prize. Not bad for a bloke who is yet to rack up 30 caps.
