The Shawshank Redemption would be another in my top 5.

    IMDb's top 20.
    Screen Shot 2020-03-03 at 13.06.08.png

I obviously don't agree with the IMDB mob.

    • Godfather II is better than the original.
    • Dark Knight was a great reboot, but fourth all time?
    • Fight Club is better as a movie than LoTR (and I actually liked that trilogy).
    • The underlying premise of the Matrix was profound for me although it looks horribly cheap and dated now.
    • Goodfellas is brilliant.
    • Il Buono, Il Brutto, Il Cattivo deserves to be much higher.
    • Fight Club is awesome.

Princess Bride, probably all time fave
Always watch Shawshank when I am scanning channels and it is on, regardless of where in movie it is
Point Break also a top 5 contender (not to be confused with a movie made recently with same name) probably seen this more than nay other movie too
    Happy GIlmore, love it!

Depending on mood, I reckon I could swap out another dozen or so movies into/out of my top 10.

Quality list, I also have Matrix in there like others, and @mariner4life Grounding Day is massively underrated.

Here are some other random ones I've seen over and over and love:
    The Replacements
    Draft Day
    Basketball Diaries
(I really do love a good sports movie)
    Romper Stomper
    Gopd Will Hunting

Can't say I've ever wanted to repeat view that one although it's a good movie!

I believe I've seen Bad Boy Bubby more than Romper Stomper.

I just rewatched Draft Day again recently, I like a good Kevin Costner sports film.

    Agreed.

    WTF!

I had the misfortune to watch that with my Mum and my girlfriend one night in the 90s.

Nope. 1 is the perfect movie, 2 is the almost perfect movie, 3 is the WTF happened movie.

2 is slightly better than 1 and 3 shouldn't have been made.

We'll have to agree to disagree or my Luca Brasi can fight your random bodyguard who makes no impression to see who's best. 🙂

For people who listed Tombstone, there's one huge problem with that movie: they had a great villain (Powers Booth), and they killed him way too early!

    Watched Midway last week.

From what I can make out from reading about the battle, it's very accurate historically.

Roland Emmerich has added his usual visual fireworks to produce a pretty absorbing, accurate and non-jingoistic account of the battle - from both sides.

    Really enjoyed it - 7/10

Rocco Lampone. In the book he is quite an important person. Under utilised in the film.

The subplot about Lucy Mancinis cavernous vagina didn’t make it into the film either. Can’t imagine why .

A movie you want to wipe your brain so you can rewatch and figure it out again.

@Machpants The Game with Michael Douglas is another, great movie, but no point watching again unless you have a short memory.

That's loose pelvic floor to you.

Oh, and there was a loose reference in that Sonny's wife could be seen boasting about the size of his cock. A bit like a fisherman talking about the one that got away.

One of Finchers best, I’d have it slightly ahead of Fight Club. Just a dark dreary movie, perfectly cast as well. Including the head in the box..

It was a super disturbing film. Spacey was an uber creepy villain
