Certainly better for the Soul!!!!
-

yeah but it's the direct spreading of the lies that Facebook does so well. Idiots don't need to go looking for their stupid fix, it is handed to them on a plate.

Seems to be an endless cycle of wine/chocolate is actually healthy for you! Tell people what they want to hear and all that.
-

Much easier for Natural News/David Wolfe/Food Babe/Mercola to be shared with one quick click on Facebook to people who would have never otherwise gone to the blogs though.

Summary -

People like having their core beliefs reinforced & talking to people who agree with them.

FB lets them find shit that does so & share it.

They develop a group of friends who are all fucking idiots who share stuff that increases their level; of retardness & also makes them feel more certain in those beliefs. The "I've done the research!" thing. That research is 5 like minded retards shared some lunacy with me & 200 other arseclowns "liked" it. So its true.

It does always amaze me how people search for conspiracy shit on google, share it on FB, rant about something that isn't happening & does not affect them. And then miss the increasingly targeted advertising & other data mining.

Have you read anything about facebook and the last election in the Uk? Crosby Textor had a fair idea how irrelevant the likes the leftards were getting were probably based in part on our election. Soft likes and shy torys were the terms they used, if someone from the left shares something about labour promising to raise benefits for single mothers or some such policy people feel pressured to like it in case they feel like others would see them as selfish even if they don't like it or disagree with it. There was one story I read about some labour mps team saying they can't understand how she lost her seat because she has so many followers on twitter, ffs .
-

That internet following nonsense never ceases to amaze me. My neighbour was trying to sell his house (no nothing to do with him hating his neighbours), anyway there was not much happening and when he quizzed the agent he was told that "We're marketing it online. It's going very well, you've had a thousand hits so far".

A thousand misses I think you mean was the reply.

So he ended up having to stay next to you....

This is great to see considering Facebook is where Winger type loons tend to spread their lies. -

a lot of people (other than us on here) have too much (again, more than us on here) time on their hands to go around abusing 'celebrities' for their personal choices.

the UK housing market on the whole seems absolutely farked. We've now had agreement on 3 houses, instructed lawyers etc, and then had them pulled out from underneath us as the seller just Cancels the sale. The agents think others are telling them to do various things and then try a higher price (we hvae been looking at unrenovated / older places with a view to modernise). One particular example we saw 2 months later on at 50k more than we agreed, after the vendor had spent about 5k on a bathroom, and perhaps another 2k on a granite kitchen. It's just mental.

We had one come back to us and ask us to rebid, so we bid 20k lower than we had agreed. He accepted. We then withdrew and cancelled our bid. Place is still on, back now with the offer at exactly where we had agreed 2 months ago.

quite a pathetic thing to do, but I enjoyed it.
-

I saw this on FB and commented on the two things I found funny about the abuse:

1) People call him a CIA puppet, while using the platform HE developed

2) The irony about social media allowing fucktards to spread bullshit

Its great.
