@Catogrande I just saw a review for Robert the Bruce, and came here to see if anyone had watched. Sounded pretty dire, TBH, not least the 52yo playing a 32yo for no another reason than he played him in Braveheart. Disclaimer: I love Braveheart as a rollicking adventure with heroes and villains, but anyone who uses it as a historical fact resource is a giant idiot. Kilts FFS. KILTS. Wallace and Isabella. A famous bridge battle...sans bridge.
god you sound like my Father in Law
i love Braveheart, great movie. Historically accurate movies would make poor theatre
If Quentin Tarantino was a ferner he'd definitely "like" this post

Braveheart also left out all the raping and murdering that William Wallace indulged in not to mention the french chick was born after he was executed in real life.
She was into the kinky stuff then

Bloodshot - Vin Diesel, Sam Heughan, Guy Pearce and Eiza Gonzalez
Opening 5 or 10 mins was almost enough to make me stop, the old 'oorah. USA USA type opening, and then Diesel taking off his military shirt so he could have his white tank top on...
But I continued (cos Eiza)
Based on a comic , was ok, nothing special, just Vin being Vin, shooting, killing, smashing shit, CGI was pretty OP though!

The Replacements
Keanu Reeves leads misfit replacement players in the NFL
My kids laughed themselves stupid. It's a very entertaining film.

Watched Extraction
I liked it...sure it's bullshit, but that's why I watch this type of film.
3 sewer rats out of 5 double taps
Yeah, it's definitely a lower your expectations and you'll enjoy it type film ... going from pretty good set piece to set piece.

Set up ambiguously for Extraction 2 as well.

Spoilers!
Hopefully in two they try less plot/story and just keep the action.

The Hunger Games
What fucked up person came up with this???
Interesting film though for sure. Lots of themes running through it. Although watching kids in a violent war is perhaps not for me.

My 3 kids have watched all 4 movies 3x each and the older 2 have read all the books, all in the last 6 weeks of lockdown. Something about it just grabbed them

You probably should avoid Battle Royale. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0266308/
I've watched three of the Hunger Games but I got bored with the third and stopped there.
Watched Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, the Ted Bundy Netflix movie starring Zac Effron, was pretty decent.

It's not a bad series. I liked the movies.

I read the books too ( I know I know..)
Found the whole propaganda angle very weird, in the final acts of the series they are hanging back not part of the main uprising. All about going along with a ‘doco crew’ to film these short ‘propos?’ to inspire everyone else. Rather then be the in the front so to speak.Probably didn’t help for the movies when PSH up and died before they completed filming the last movie.
Also Jennifer Lawrence

@Machpants it was short lived you are both safe, I suspect its just Val Kilmer sweaty that did it
Judging from recent pics of Val I suspect he'd get sweaty walking from the couch to the cupboard to get some more chocolate biscuits.
Tiniest bit harsh

He got snapped very overweight at one point at the beach, so he's fat forever now. He responded to a troll about his weight saying he's sitting atoun 74kgs these days. I'd take that weight thanks!
